Very brave. Takes balls having a go at this tune. String arrangement is spot on.

I got Jaco's first album when it came out in 1976, but I don't think I ever really appreciated what a great work this song is until I saw this performance just now. Can't imagine the work that went into perfecting this piece. Being a bass player, I was particularly impressed with the bass work. He somehow got an amazing frettless tone from a fretted instrument. He also understands about using right hand positioning and how it effects bass tone. Very, very well done!

+Greg Brown thank you so much Greg. Credits to Glenn Gaddum jr., one of the best out there. Such an integer, intelligent player. Have a great day.

+FUSE MUSIC Thank you for the reply. I will have to keep an eye on your calendar and hope that you come to the USA at some point - I would love to hear you live. I live near Rochester, New York and we have the prestigious Eastman School of Music here. I'd be more than happy to do what I could to help you play there. The Eastman webpage is here: www.esm.rochester.edu/ I'm not sure what the procedure is to book a performance, but I'd be willing to do what I could. I think they'd love you! Thank you again for the reply.

Geniet al geregeld van jullie optreden bij Witteman en nu stuit ik eerst op jullie versie van Zappa's echidna's arf en daarna op deze prima versie van Kuru. Ga gauw kijken of er nog meer te vinden is.

Is it possible that I could get my hands on an arrangement of this? I'd like to play this for my school concert coming up this winter and it would save a lot of time since I would have to transcribe it.
