Now I’ve got a question. Say my fuse is good, but the whole head light on the right hand side is not working. Not just the head light. All the lights. Does that mean it’s the module still?

Hi, If the fuse is good but the whole headlight on the right-hand side is not working, it could be a sign that the issue lies within the headlight module or the wiring connected to the headlight. It's important to check the connections and the module itself to see if there are any visible signs of damage or malfunction.

@@TajMotorMedics so I checked the headlight connection and it had no power at all. Which is why I looked to the fuse. But the fuse seems fine. So I’m wondering if there’s something in between the headlight and the fuse inside that I can’t see.

@@TajMotorMedics so something behind the fuse box in the drivers side compartment is frying! I can hear it just before the fuse burns out. So now, I’m not sure what to do. I don’t know how to get access to be able to find out where the wire leads off too. I know which wire it is.. but it goes into a huge wire loom

@@L0C00L rewired it, match it up with colors, if possible some wires might be crossed

Hi Jessica, it indicates that there is an electrical issue causing excessive current flow. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem: 1. Check the bulb: Start by inspecting the headlight bulb on the passenger side. Make sure it is properly seated and not damaged. Replace the bulb if necessary. 2. Inspect the wiring: Examine the wiring harness and connections leading to the headlight. Look for any signs of damage, such as frayed wires or loose connections. Repair or replace any damaged wiring. 3. Check for short circuits: A short circuit can cause the fuse to blow repeatedly. Inspect the wiring for any exposed or bare wires that may be coming into contact with each other or the vehicle's body. Use electrical tape or wire insulation to cover any exposed areas. 4. Test the headlight switch: The headlight switch could be faulty and causing excessive current draw. Use a multimeter to test the switch for continuity and proper operation. If the switch is defective, replace it. 5. Check the headlight control module: The headlight control module controls the operation of the headlights. It is possible that the module is malfunctioning and causing the fuse to blow. Have the module tested or replaced if necessary. 6. Consult a professional: If you have gone through these steps and are still experiencing issues, it may be best to consult a professional mechanic or an Audi dealership. They will have the expertise and specialized equipment to diagnose and repair the electrical problem accurately. Remember to always exercise caution when working with electrical components in your vehicle. If you are unsure or uncomfortable performing any of these steps, it is recommended to seek professional assistance.

So was it the headline module(s) that were messing up?
@TajMotorMedics Жыл бұрын
Hi I’ve done 3 part for this and the third part was for the headlight module. For this vehicle it was. I checked the fuse which was good and then replaced the bulb but no luck so had to replace the module. Thanks

You can try removing the good bulb and replace it with the bad one and see if it’s the bulb! It’s a lengthy procedure as the bulb replacement is not easy.
