That's a great idea! I'd love to see how it turns out.

These are super cute! I need to make some, I need a bright pop. We've had snow in April, and it's ridiculous. Also, your nails are so sparkly!

We've had no snow this year. It was very weird. I had done my nails for Saint-Patrick's day!

Hi! I'm a total newbie... Thank you for the great video. Could you place the piece on top of a piece of kiln paper then place on the bowl and let slump down over the bowl and not have to coat the bowl? Hope that makes sense... Thanks 🙂

You could do that and I've done it in my candle holder video as well but you would still prime your stainless steel mold with kiln wash or boron nitrite. Furthermore, the kiln paper may fold on itself and leave indentions in your design.

I’ve only slumped. For some reason draping has always scared me. Thank you for sharing this. My questions are where do you get the plastic, how do you make your patterns, and would using dots instead of powder work?
@ghislainesabbagh-hughes Жыл бұрын
I got the transparencies on Amazon. I buy them for my inkJet printer. I make my patterns either on procreate or in the Cricut Design Studio. You can use dots if you slump but because I draped, the dots would have made the bottom uneaven. I hope that answers all of your questions!

Do you have a pattern for these like you did the gnomes? I absolutely love your work. Your videos are great. Thank you for sharing.

Here is a link to a basic template I created. You will have to modify it based on the size of your bowl. drive.google.com/file/d/1I7eHR_KwYP0E6mSxEvBsDOsAWxFfPrwg/view?usp=share_link

Ive heared that its not necessary to wash stainless steel when used at slumping temp..? Its depends On the temperature maybe..
@ghislainesabbagh-hughes Жыл бұрын
I've not heard that before so I'd rather err on the safe side and apply a coat of wash or zyp.

Where did you get that glass break that has the ability to change the angle of the rubber pads?
@ghislainesabbagh-hughes Жыл бұрын
you can get them at most glass stores and also Amazon: www.amazon.com/Silberschnitt-Running-Pliers-BO-700-0/dp/B0042STEVW/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=silberschnitt+running+pliers&qid=1690811137&sprefix=silber%2Caps%2C98&sr=8-1&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.18ed3cb5-28d5-4975-8bc7-93deae8f9840

Nicely done. I have trouble cutting the glass without a lot of loss. Need to practice. Where did you get the pliers?

Really cute stuff. Use a script if possible next time

Often just heating up your stainless steel will let kilnwash stick. Just hot, not a full firing. (If you are ever in a hurry)
