I have to say, this anime was my absolute favorite when I was a little girl. Rewatching it now at 21 years old, it's crazy to finally understand all of the things I didn't while watching this as a child. The nostalgia part of it was very fun, and there were even a good amount of scenes that I remembered vaguely from watching it so much when I was little. However, so much about the plot and characters in this anime is extremely frustrating and just downright annoying. If I found this anime today for the first time there's no way I would've watched it all the way through let alone past a good few episodes. Things were rough there in the middle and made it really hard to watch, but I'm glad I kept going until the end because the last few episodes were really good. This anime will always have a special place in my heart despite everything else, and I'm glad I was able to find it and watch it through once more to really get the full experience I was unable to as a child. And thank you very much to the person who uploaded all of these episodes on youtube!

Nakago is such an underrated character here, he represents some of our life's aspects. Some are mad at him because they never understood his character well, I mean growing up, I used to hate him because he makes the lives of other characters hard. But he is one of my favourite now because I can relate to him in some ways, I understand now why Yuu Watase said that Nakago is her favourite character in this story.

I watched it when I was 11 years old. Now at 33 it’s just nostalgia. I was so much in love with this anime and Tamahome at the time. While I watched it I was back to the 11 year old drooling over Tamahome. It holds a very special place in my heart. I’m glad it has a good ending. 🥰

Shocking, isn't it? It's no fairytale at all. That book is a time traveling machine and Tamahome was just a reincarnated twin of a student in her world. Must've took an INFINITE time for him to gather all the pieces of his past life memories together. The others were just real people from the ancient history. That means Miaka and Yui were actually transported to the past of the historical civilization.

Best anime ever. 1st on my list. No words i can express. All emotions i experienced in this anime. Action, adventure, drama, fantasy, comedy and TRUE LOVE. Miracles do happen when you find your true love. Love this anime ever. I greatly thank the author who made this possible and make it the best anime ever. I love how you created it and the drawings are so like true human beings. I want to be an author and maybe make my own anime based on a love story that no boundaries will destroy them just like this. Finally I finished to watched the whole episode .. After almost 15 or 20 years? I got a chance to watch it . dragon ball for girls. it's a beautiful story. i mean yeah, it's often too cheap and corny, but damn - the emotions, narrative (really offensive cliffhangers), characters (yet archetypal), Nakago's past especially. i did watch the series as a eleven years old kid and gosh - 10:38 scene still gives me goosebumps. btw: like the way how series throws the deaths and tragedies straight into viewer's face (fate of Tamahome's family, Nakago's or Soi past, needless sacrifices, the whole story of Yui - know the stuff).

Second, thank you for all who dubs , you made. Actors behind of Nuriko , Taski , Chichiri and Tamahome you got me. The way you deliver all the lines, the anger , the laugh ,and everything is all GOOD! Im 24 now and I know its kinda late to watch this anime. And I never regretted for watching this. Apparently, Miaka didn’t make any wish for Kounan. That’s why in OVA there is a new suzaku priestess entered the book that would help them save kounan from chaos.
