I’ve seen many of your other videos Sam, but can’t believe I’m just now seeing this one. Literally typed in “what is torii gates,” and your video popped up. Brilliant work on the editing, as always! You’re very talented, and I love how you keep these vlogs both informative and fun (especially for us clueless foreigners) - so I hope you’ll stick with making them! Anyway, hope you’re doing well and enjoying life in Hawaii, mahalo bruddah 🤙

Andoria07 Thanks! You've been a huge supporter from the beginning!

I'll keep supporting you because I feel like your videos deserve so many more views and this channel a lot more subscribers. It's really difficult to find youtube videos that are both informative and funny at the same time and really well presented. So from my point of view, your videos are the perfect mix! Can't wait for the next one! :)

Mahalo for sharing your videos around Japan!! It's so helpful and entertaining, unlike some videos that talk way too much about themselves. Keep filming!!

Sam your videos are great. I love the father-son (more like son-father) banter. I've watched innumerable videos prior to our trip to Japan this coming October, and many of yours are on the "definitely re-watch" list before the trip. Arigato!

Hi Sam. I'm Japanese and your explanations of Japan in both of historical and modern are so accurate than other foreign vlogger's (except reading "24hr times" sign :P). Thank you for introducing my country Japan.

Hey Sam, very entertaining video once again! Me and my girlfriend are about to book a ticket to japan, but it's very hard to choose between Osaka/Kyoto and Tokyo. wich option do you recommend? The thing we are into the most is food!
@TheBellTree7 жыл бұрын
That's such a hard question. How many days do you have total? To me, Osaka is second to none when it comes to food, but I love street food and the casual vibe of Osaka. There are plenty of high-end options there too, but I don't have much experience with them in Osaka. Kyoto has amazing food, but I find the restaurant access to be a little more difficult for foreign tourists. That said, there's no better place for kaiseki and traditional Japanese food than Kyoto. Plus, there's nowhere like Kyoto for the ancient sites. Tokyo is the biggest of the three, has the most options, and is somewhere between Osaka and Kyoto in formality/accessibility. You really can't go wrong either way, but if I couldn't do both Tokyo and Kansai, I'd probably say Osaka would be the best home base, with day trips to Kyoto, which is only 15 mins. away by bullet train. Or better yet, spend one night in a Kyoto ryokan with the kaiseki meals included.

wow! Thanks for your answer. we want to go for aprox. 12/13 days. the biggest issue about visiting them both is money to be honest. however if we can score a good deal with the flight tickets there is maybe a chance we can do them both. Also really curious about zundouya ramen :)
@TheBellTree7 жыл бұрын
You can't go wrong either way. I learned that Zundouya has locations in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto, so you're covered! :)
