Thank you for this multi project video. You mentioned having a full kiln ready to fire and adding these smaller pieces. Could you also include a picture of the full kiln?
@JamaisonSchuler2 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure what value that would add? Plus it was full of other projects that are for future videos, so I would just be spending all of my time answering questions like “what’s that other thing and what are you doing with it?“ 😂

I made a beautiful small piece of bubble glass by placing copper leaf down on a piece of Tekta and covered it with another piece of Tekta. I got a very even bubble pattern and a pale clear copper blue color. I was really surprised by how even the bubble sizes were. I haven’t tried any other leafs yet to see what they do. I love your videos, thank you for sharing your experiments.

Thank you as always for sharing your work and testing projects. The blue/yellow heart was awesome! I have the Colors for Earth but your puddling on the side to get a strip is a cool idea. Back to the heart on the fire polish can you share your kiln program settings for that ? I use S96 so I may have to adjust but am curious what you use. Thank you!

I go 200-1350-10 then anneal for 3 hours

@@JamaisonSchuler Thank you for the fire polish schedule. Do you do the 200-1350 AFAP with no holds then hold at 1350 for 10?
@JamaisonSchuler2 жыл бұрын
@@christyrueda6997 well, the 200dph is a nice slower ramp up to 1350 and just hold for 10 min. Correct there's no other hold I do on the way up. Then I ramp down AFAP to 900 and anneal for 3 hours.

Hi jamaison Did you dry the mixture before you capped .oh and love the bubbles especially the copper one
@JamaisonSchuler2 жыл бұрын
No, wonder how may have changed the bubbles? 🤔

The green one is gorgeous, but oh my gosh... the green + calcium carbonate one is amazing! I want to try that color combo between pale blue or pale green transparent sheet glass and see how much it looks like water... then maybe tack fuse sealife murrini on top of that.

Can i use baking soda instead of the copper oxide or carbonate. And would it be in the same amounts.
@JamaisonSchuler2 жыл бұрын
I’ve played around with baking soda, but not enough to be much of an authority on it. It seems like it gasses even more so I think much less? Do a bunch of tests and share what you learn!

Thanks for all your great videos. Can I make paint using glass powder and gum arabic? Thanks

Your bubbles change some depending on how thick you put the stuff down.
