Fusion 360 Airplane Wings: The Loft Command

In order to delete a solid body face you must be in the Surface tab.

I have a couple of thoughts. When you set your pivot, placing it on the same point of the rib each time is essential. If you don't pay close attention you'll allow for error in the set of Angles of incidence. ( Right or Wrong)?.... You emphasize to check it, -1.5 if you have the dreaded box show up on the inboard portion of the wing during a loft. When I do, There isn't any recorded angle to ref. So how do I check it or adjust it? Maybe I am not seeing it. Is there a ref point on the Fuselage? Lastly, I was wondering if I don't turn off the Time line, How do I manage to copy and paste the rib?

There’s a box that shows the angle. When you just click on the ball on the bottom you should see the number of degrees you are at. Some of that can be frustrating. Took me two weeks to figure out I was off by .5 degrees. That was causing my ribs not to cut properly. It can be difficult. Plus, I’m still a novice with fusion. Good luck with it!

@@adventuresmidwest3065 I played around until I had some positive results. If you highlight the rib, like you're planning to move it. You'll be able to copy paste. I did do all of your planning and placing parts without turning off the time line. I figured there would be a way around all of the hard work you provided . (Without turning off the Time line.) I had success. Thank you for leading the way. I am so excited to watch your progress and learn Fusion 360.

How you´re going to model the wing fairing?

I’ll press pull the wing from the mid plane. The draw a sketch of that face. Then draw another sketch with the belly fairing. Then draw rails so when I loft the two together, the loft will work.

@@a330turbinex7 didn’t do that yet. I’ll put that one up next. It can be a bit tricky and took me a few try’s but it works great. I’ll keep you posted. I’m out of town til Sunday but going to put up more vids next week. Thanks for checking out the vids. I’m glad they are helping too!
