What workflows do you wish were automated in Fusion 360?
@Diplopada Жыл бұрын
Holes, dowls, dominos, and screws.. And a Lot of the them in odd angles. 😅🤞

Dude. This might change my entire fusion360 workflow. I'm reasonably quick at traditional modeling but this looks like so much less headache for keeping everything parametric. I'm going to give it a try tomorrow.

Thanks for promoting this, it's for sure more than just helpful.

I have a question. I almost always use dadoes and rabbets on my plywood and face frames with dadoes to join my sides. Can Joiner Cad utilize dadoes and rabbets, or mortise and tenons? I appreciate your videos on fusion. Very helpful!

This is the question I came to ask.
@tiaan_va7 ай бұрын
I mean even if it doesn't it lets you skip all the step to create the outer frames. If you still have to add the dados and specialized joints in then it already save you a heck of time wasted on sketching, defining and linking parameters and creating the main bodies

What if I don't want mitered corners? What other joints can it do? Dovetails? Boxjoints? Domino? Mortise and tenon?

Unfortunately, many of those aren't options yet. But I believe they're working on them. (They're very responsive to support request/questions and feedback)

Hi Kevin, this is really interesting, can you explain though what you mean for BOM? You mentioned it few times towards the end of the video, is it the equivalent of a part list? Can this plugin creat instructions on how to assemble a flat packed design furniture? Cheers
@Yavorh55 Жыл бұрын
BOM should stand for Bill of Materials. This also includes fasteners, joiners, etc
@cybershark302 Жыл бұрын
Alessandro, BOM is an abbreviation of "Bill of Materials". It's directly equivalent to a parts list although it usually includes information like cost and where each component can be sourced.

Hey can you make holes with this addon? When I try to extrude a sketch for a hole after dressing it up it messes it up and the geometry cannot be mirrored

Hola. Gracias
@cypher82666 Жыл бұрын
Do you think it is better than OpenBOM for parts lists?
@ProductDesignOnline Жыл бұрын
I still prefer OpenBOM as there is more flexibility to edit and customize like Excel. That said, it really depends on the use case. You're just looking for a small and efficient parts list then this add-in could be sufficient.

If we buy a 3D printer, then if we want to make any thing in it, do we have to do coding for that?
@sualpozel1 Жыл бұрын
No you can simply use Fusion 360 and design Ugur parts, slice them and 3D print

Unfortunately, most add-ons don't work on the web version because they process locally 😕

Would you be able to one day make a video on how to do parametric walls? Have yet to find one fusion 360 based. Stuff like this kzbin.infoyuTlaXrXZ4s
@tiaan_va7 ай бұрын
that's probably because those kind of designs that use organic lines and curves are not what CAD software is good at. Like just use a normal 3D program to make the design for a wall like that in minutes. Rather than trying to spend countless hours in CAD software and still not getting the result you want. CAD just isn't the best method for organic shapes
