good video, you could have have also cut the slot out of your first sketch and the extruded the whole shape in one go. Also when you want to cut a hole or slot all the way through you can select "to object" under extent and pick the back face of your solid

I'm just trying to get started on learning Fusion 360 but did have some experience with AutoCad about 20 years ago in an architectural / structural environment (forgotten most of it though). My question after watching this tutorial several times, for placement of the 4 holes, would it not have been simpler to just do a 6mm "offset" of the 60 / 60 square, make the inside square "construction lines", place the 4 circles and then delete the construction lines (although I'm still working through figuring out how to delete things).

Did you figure it out yet? I have not tried it, and a fair bit may have changed since then, But, To keep the sketch constrained, you need to keep the construction line. No problem though, keeping it as a construction line does not impact the sketch when it comes to extruding, as far as being something you can extrude.

Why not Fusion 360 as your slicing program? You have much more control over settings in F360 than you do in a simple slicing program.
