Please keep making these videos. I have seen a trillion videos out there regarding learning F360, and you guys just rocks. The absolute best quality videos I have seen so far. Easy to understand. Now I just wish you would use the metric systems, instead of those imperial inches etc LOL

This is some of the best news on KZbin for a long time. I totally vote yes to Metrics 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 To be honest I think there is a bigger demand for F360 videos in the 3D printing community than CNC etc. specially after the release of the new FDM printers like Bambu Lab, Creality K1 etc People tend to start wanting to create their own designs after being printing all the fidget toys, figurines etc 🤣🤣
@rothens10 ай бұрын
@@morgenkaffe For most of the videos I've simply followed by multiplying the inch value, and using it as a mm (I know it's not right, but quicker in my head xD). But you can simply write "in" after the value :D

Thanks for the demo, Really well done. The only thing That I might add is ... if you save each sketch with a distinct name as in this case with the dice, say 1 dimple, or 4 dimples, then when you want to find it in the history you can simply click on the sketch in the browser and it will highlight that item in the timeline. I'm new to Fusion and just found this lesson so I don't know if you've covered this previously. Will try and catch up!

6 minutes and 30 seconds. Spent a lot of time trying to remember what the symbols on the drawing meant. :) Question: I would really like to change the shortcut for the rotate. My brain really wants that center mouse button press to be rotate and not just move. Is there a way to do that? I think I'm trying to keep my left hand on the escape key like you taught Dan the man in the Udemy course. :)

It took me 6 min, 50 sec to build the part again on my own. It would have been longer if I had waited until the next day, or longer. I still remembered pretty well how to do it. Can you please explain what the radius of the fillett is measured from? The large one in the drawing is .75, and the counter bore is 1.0, yet it looks like 'radius' of the fillett is larger than the counterbore, even though it is smaller numerically...
@learnitalready Жыл бұрын
You’re doing exactly the right way: practice and then practice again after trying to memorize. You will improve quickly, I am confident. Regarding the fillet radius: you are correct the the outer fillet radius looks bigger, and that’s because it is. The dimension of the c-bore is actually a diameter of 1 inch. The radius is 1/2 of the diameter, so the c-bore actually has a radius of 0.5 inches.

When sketching, how do you turn a line into a construction line? I thought pressing X would toggle the line between normal & construction (and visually change the line from solid to dashed) but not seeing this. If I select a line and press X, the line remains the same and solid. Is there any other way to check the state of a selected line?
@learnitalready16 күн бұрын
Hello! Thanks for reaching out. Yes, the letter “x” on your keyboard should work. Can you confirm that you editing your actually sketch please? You should see the Sketch Palette window on the right side of your screen if you are in the sketch environment. If not, you need to double click the sketch where the solid line is or right-click and edit. Once the Sketch Palette shows up “x” should work. You can also go to the Sketch Palette and select the top left element to toggle the construction line on and off. Let me know if that works for you.

I have tried for several hours to complete this homework, but every time I get to the extrude rectangle .5" it extrudes the whole rectangle into the 1.375 cylinder hole, rather than just the hangover beyond the 2.5" diameter. I tried extruding the part overlapping the hole, but nothing seems to work. I am definitely missing something. I have watched the video, taking notes, at least 20 times and can't figure out what I am missing. Help!
