As a relatively new CNC Programmer/Operator and even newer to the CNC Lathe, I wish I had known about this when this was published. It would have saved me a ton of time and headache on my last contract; however, you don't know what you don't know. Old post I know but when you tool orientate the end mill from horizontal to vertical for the hex and the wcs changes the z position and x position, how does the g code look when posted?

Angelo i have a mazak with live tooling and having issue programming a 6 pattern bolt circle on the face. How do i keep part where as it milling with x and z only? It trying to cross over with y if and getting a soft limit if that makes any sense
