Amazing video. Found the pattern trick which worked for me. Spent about 2 hours trying to figure it out on my own before watching. Thanks guys

As a relatively new CNC Programmer/Operator and even newer to the CNC Lathe, I wish I had known about this when this was published. It would have saved me a ton of time and headache on my last contract; however, you don't know what you don't know. The tips and tricks that you gave were phenomenal and I've got about 2 pages of notes to back that up. I can't wait to continue my education on these videos. Thanks again guys and gals! Keep making these things and I'll keep watching!

Old post I know but when you tool orientate the end mill from horizontal to vertical for the hex and the wcs changes the z position and x position, how does the g code look when posted?

Mr Tallis is the only U Tuber alive with no volume/ no video but still can get over 1,000 views. If that doesn't testify to mans abiliity I don't know what would! Great to watch you at work Angelo, love how you took us through the drilling operations, have never done this before!

Hi! I’m a newbee in using Fusion 360 Manufacturing Turn. I’m trying to learn as much as I can The problem I’m having is If I have a 12mm round Stock that’s 50mm long and I want to turn the front part down to 6mm x 20mm in the Z The X movement is doubled when I post-Process it and look at the g-code. It looks right in fusion and this happens no matter what processor I use. Instead of moving from the center of the part 3mm in the X to end up with a 6mm DIA. It moves 6mm in the X. What am I doing wrong?

trying to extrude the flat for the polygon shape but it wont let me select just that little slice ?
@TheCroatianPimp4 жыл бұрын
there is a setting in Preferences under Design. I need to confirm the wording... but it may say something like: "Auto Project Geometry on Sketch plane" or something like that. Toggle that, restart Fusion and try again.

@@TheCroatianPimp yeah nothing available there for a swiss or gantry style lathe. I have a ganesh cyclone-32 ncy. I need to be able to change cutting planes but not the coordinate system. I have live tooling in the x & z but need to maintain the machine xyz when I use them and a fanuc control. fusion wants to change the z to match the tool orientation or the posts I try do. I also need to always maintain x and y as diameter moves. im sure if I had 10k to throw at it I could have a custom one made but im just a self owned struggler lol
