Fusion 360 Tube Coping

Very helpful video thanks. I am trying to learn easy ways to model handrail in fusion for renders of jobs and to be able to pull dimension and angles for fabricating. I think this is modeled a little to precise for what I need but still helpfull.

The negative extrude leaves a 'lip'. Is there a way to do that cut more accurately ?

Not sure what you mean by a “lip”. This is the accurate way to cope a tube if you are prepping for laser or plasma cutting. The cut surface should be perpendicular to the outer surface of the tube/pipe.

every once in a while i get an error when trying to do the negative extrude part. something like "body could not be repaired" any idea whats up with that?

Fusion is a little finicky sometimes. Anytime that happens to me, I will change the depth of the negative extrude to something deeper. I don’t know why this happens but that is usually the fix. If that doesn’t work then I will try extruding only one side of the part at a time. I think sometimes the extrusions conflict with each other causing issues.
