FANTASTIC VIDEO! Very clear, you explained it well! And as usual, I picked up many other things I did not know along the way. This REALLY helped me create a fan prop for my design. THANK YOU! {liked.subscribed.saved=True}

Excellent tutorial, thank you. Is it possible to shape the fan blades like an airfoil? How would you go about doing that?
@Fusionfundamentals
@Fusionfundamentals 5 ай бұрын
Thanks 🙏. Yes you can definitely do that, it would depend on exactly how you want it to look but you could surface loft and set a specific path for it.

hey request for a video on joints and movements with 2 gears.Trying to make a 3d printed gear box for rc car. I think the Interwebs will be happy to have you style of explanation. for gear you could use scrips. Thanks :).

Hi I can definitely do something like that, and can also show the movement relationship. Maybe give me a bit more info and I can tailor the video to be more inline with your project

@@Fusionfundamentals something like this 5:1 3-4 gears think should be general design. Skip the metal parts and motor. Maybe focus on movement of and building housing.

Hi, @11tushaar have a look at the video coming out tomorrow at 13:00 discussing the motion link of gears and where to find standard gears.

This is weird. A few days prior I was trying to model a fan, but ultimatly failed and now out of the sudden a video appears on my youtube start page that tells me excactly what to do. I love you KZbin and I love you @Fusion Fundamentals!

If I'm not mistaken I have seen one minor issue with this way of building the fan. The fan blades don't seem to really be attached to the shaft in the middle. It seemed like only a corner of them was touching the shaft.
@Fusionfundamentals
@Fusionfundamentals 8 ай бұрын
I’ll have to have a closer look at the blades. I did this one a while ago. But basically I used the shaft to join all the blades so it is still a single body. If that were a problem you could make the outer diameter of the shaft a bit wider to overlap better.

What is the pitch of those blades
@Fusionfundamentals
@Fusionfundamentals Ай бұрын
Not sure what the exact pitch is unfortunately. I did the drawing with a coil but if you look at the rotation and height could calculate the pitch probably. Another option that might work is to extrude a cylinder and add thread to it and specify pitch. Then use the 3d geometry of the thread
