i noticed that y positive is pointed toward what would be the tail stock is this correct for lathes when doing axial slot milling like that

Mike- can you tell me how to work with a rotary where I might not have a "pattern" the same on different axis? I am trying to program my rotary to turn 45 degrees to mill a flat surface then take 90 degree turns, then 45 and so on. Thanks,

What about a slot, that isn't open ended from the face of the part, and also wraps around the C axis while moving back along the Z axis? I've been trying to no avail

On lathes with milling the tool can sit along the Z axis of the lathe (axial orientation) OR along the Y axis of the lathe (radial orientation). Simply changing the tool orientation in Fusion will mimic a 4th axis operation with the Z pointing along the tool and therefore will output a Z movement for "raising" the tool. However on lathe with milling with a tool in radial orientation, "raising" the tool is done with a movement on Y axis. How can you make Fusion understand that?
