I understand its not a hip hop event but in terms of the essence of dance, I find the theatrical approach that rubix takes with his rounds to be dragged out. Like if he did it in moments would accentuate his round and not water it down. Like jewellery - a piece here and there and not everywhere. If he'd flesh things out a bit more, and be more consistent with the natural move and feeling of dance and flow more with less resets. It's not just him, as you said it's kind of what the event has become more gimmicky, crowd pleasing, showcase-like expectations. That's why many people are saying fusion concept is for summer dance rejects. I think the audience should not get involved with voting or judging. It's really a wider issue too, Its sad really how for things to get big society likes gimmicky watered down things like redbull, tik tok dance etc.

Audience gets involved with voting and judging in SDF too. I understand your point about Fusion Concept now but summer dance has become shit too. Its literally judges voting out the better dancers so they dont face them later on.

this event in general doesn't do it for me. the time limit system is still not clear till this day and often ruins the battles because nobody is aware of how the rules work. not to mention this year had a lot of new gen dancers which they were enjoyable but they often resort to entertaining the crowd which makes it less compelling and cohesive imo. i'd say they should stop making things over-complicated and just stick to having 1 min rounds per team off the rip. all it does is make the atmosphere awkward just like this battle right here.

I feel like rubix and kuty barely won the first round but after that not gonna lie they got cooked just that tall bboy did more than anything kuty and rubix dishes out the smaller bboy was just extra sauce. Definitely got robbed
