Spot on. We are wanting to be in League One next season so there’s no real point loaning kids out because they aren’t going to ever get a chance in our team. Wadsworth I can understand the logic from GA on a few levels. Firstly he’s never going to get into the team this season, because GA’s job depends on results now. And after a year out on loan, he will at best be ready for L2 football. So his development is always a year behind. Keep him at the club and not loan him and he won’t develop at all. Pointon was a bit different and worryingly I now think he might have been gone had he not been given the chance by GA. He has had that chance whilst MH was boss, he got sacked because of results. He was already the most talked about young player who had impressed a lot and when we thought our season was over, he got back into the team and was a level above where Wadsworth is. I know as I write this, had Pointon not played under GA and gone as well, I’d be upset. But there is probably a year of development between them and the fact Pointon is still here is most likely a clear indication he’s a BIG part of the managers plans. But this is the problem when a club sacks managers so often. Each manager makes quick fixes to keep their job, not looking at the bigger picture. The only manager who didn’t do that was Derek Adams. He signed players short term so he could rebuild in the summer and look how that worked out for him. So I can understand why he’s done it, it is partially because his first concern is staying in a job and he’s not going to play Wadsworth next season, and if we go up he won’t play him the season after either.

Absolutely agree we really should be promoted next season and we have said that every season since being relegated there is a chance we fail again next year luckily we have players coming into this season who we developed last year and this is there big season so like you say NW probably a year too young

@@raynersbantams here’s a question for you. How many players do you think we are off of being promoted. Eg including cover for injuries. I reckon 5 or 6. But unless we can get Vadaine off of our wage bill and a couple of others, it’s going to require about £600k to £1mil in wages from Rupp to cover it as things stand. This is a chance for him to do that thing where you become a hero for doing something he should have done years ago. Of course everyone will poke fun at those who protested and totally forget it probably would never have happened without it. But I’ll take that if it means we go up. 😂

@@BantamsOnline definitely protest worked and was massive if we get the change we wanted and made I agree no more than 6 I'd say 5 quality players who improve the positions they come in and have the right character think there is a really good core there just need to replace the deadwood

Great points about the young players. Rowe looked like a future captain and Wadsworth deserved a contract. Disappointing.

Dont know enough about Rowe tbf but definitely thought wadsworth had something can only see us continuing this under GA but if we are successful then I cant complain

Gutted about Wadsworth I was excited about another youth coming through. He looked like he was nxt in line. As there aren't many in that line. 😕 but its just come out pointon amd halliday have been offered improved new contracts. So that's made my day. I wish all the released players well in there futures. Especially the younger players

Do feel ot was harsh I'm now thinking if BP didnt have a good finish or even find his way in team he wouldn't have been offered patience key with youth

GA's now now now attitude, goes with most of our fan base. They ALL promotion now, instead of building for it. So GA is giving them fans exactly what they want.

I understand that argument and I love him for that but do feel you have to have a pathway for youth but ultimately if we get out of this division with a team with that mentality I'm not complaining

@@raynersbantams me neither. But as my grandfather used to say to me.... Rome wasn't built in a day, I honestly don't think if we had gone up any earlier we would have been prepared, and most likely come straight back down. But now I feel if we go up next season we should be able to hold our own.

Not sure if Alexander has the skill set to develop young players. Supporters have contributed to Bobby Pointon’s opportunities in first team, and forced Alexander’s hand.
