Good to see you’re over the lurgy and back fighting fit ready for another hopeful promotion year! 🙏🏼 TW being resigned was a bit of a surprise, but the end of the season winning run with TW at LWB was perhaps the key factor in GA’s decision Time will tell if he can deliver

Hi Korban, glad you're back, I was getting worried! The jury is out on TW but he's a nice lad and let's hope GA can get the best out of him. I'm the guy you spoke to from Cleck at the Bradford Bus Shack Shelters on Good Friday and you mentioned me in the video, seems a long time ago now and change was on it's way. I think the round knives you mention are for posh cheeses so you must be living in luxury lol! Are you going to Guiseley next Sat? It's a nice little local bonus so I will be there to get a first glimpse of 2024/25, let's hope it's a good one. Drop me a message if you like, cheers, Chris

1:00 some here. Don’t say the Euros come to an end soon when England are playing today. 😂 Transfer window has been poor. If wright can get his early form back it’ll be a great signing let’s hope it’s just a lack of fitness and sharpness and he’s the type when he’s tired to look lazy and not do as much. And people say I’m negative. 8:50 are you talking about butter knives? Actually now I think about it I think I know the knife. Did your mum get them from ikea? I’m fairly sure that’s where we got ours from. They look like a cross between a butter knife and a knife and they don’t do either job well. And as I type, I think I have got the point you’re going to make. (I pause and comment as I watch and edit btw) 9:50 still doesn’t change the PR thing. I mean we were trying to sign Wyke at the same time too. Definitely PR.

I think it's a 10/10 signing. He can either play as LWB and turn defense into attack quickly, or on LW and be an out and out attacker. Defences/defenders will have a nightmare with him.

In Wrights 1st spell on loan he not only got forward but was disciplined getting back. Thus its a decent spot by Alexander to try him at left wing back imo. Let's see over a run of games.

Patchy though wasn't he... he'd be a liability for 60% of the game but then 10% he'd be ace and then disappear for the final 30%. It's a very meh signing.

Great to have you back Korban! I don’t mind having him back but we can’t give him game time ahead of better players just if what he did 2 seasons ago. I didn’t think he had much output last season but a versatile player and clearly enjoys being at the club. Not bad transfers so fe but I look at what MK Dons and promotion rivals have been doing and I don’t think we are keeping up with them. Need a big 1/2 half of the summer🐓🐓

If anyone can have a big affect on a player it's GA and I trust him with his experience and his previous achievements at previous clubs...Plus he now has a full pre season with all the squad so hopefully it's gonna be a successful season for us...🤞🏻🤞🏻🐔🐓 Get Oliver and Mcdonald out and get a few more squad additions in and then it's full steam ahead for the new season...💪🏻💪🏻🐔🐓 Keep the videos coming Korban my friend and bring on Chorley in our 1st pre sesson game!!!...🐔🐓👏🏻⚽️😍 UPTFC 🐓🐔⚽️👏🏻😍

Signing I think is a 10/10 for him as a person, 7/10 for Alexander and a 5/10 for the fans. You could tell he was improving in terms of confidence back end of last season, so hopefully with the permanent aspect, he will be more confident and invested in the club.

He can be a great player but as you know he does make mistakes. Maybe the system that you employ may suit him but not one that involves passing back near your own goaline. He can be vulnerable in that sort of play.

Seen from a distance, five time zones away, he hit the Trifecta. He couldn't get buy-in for his vision from the owner, the players, or the fans. So when things went badly, nobody stood up for him, and he was pushed out. If there is a failure here, it's a failure to communicate.

It says it all to me that since MH was relieved of his duties in Oct 2023 he hasn't returned to management in any capacity in this or any other country...On paper it looked a great appointment but he'd had to much time out of the game and couldn't rekindle his passion and purpose from previous jobs especially in his first full season after he had taken over the back end of the previous season...Best thing happened when he left and in imo going into this new season we are much better placed performance and player quality wise with a good bit of time to still add more to the quality and squad depth...Great video buddy and you hit the nail on the head with the points you raised...Keep up the great content pal...👏🏻🐔🐓⚽️😍

It’s not the worse we’ve had, that one was when Edin took control of the transfers and Collins was manager. I’m fairly sure I was in a tiny minority who said we were going down before a ball was even kicked. Which considered we were still confident in our team having finished 11th and there were doubts about Collins, i don’t recall anyone talking relegation until the season got started and it became obvious there were massive problems. My only issue this season re Gent is that if the recruitment is good, Sharpe will get the credit and if it is bad Gent will get the stick. If it is bad this season I will say the common denominator is Gent, because I never trusted Hughes on recruitment and think he is a big reason we ended up with some crap that are overpaid and given long deals. And there are only so many decent attackers you can afford before you have to scrape the barrel. So I can’t 100% pinpoint Gent yet. This season will be a much better indicator. I’m not overly impressed so far. So if it’s bad again Gent is likely the reason, but equally if it is good, that will show that it was most likely Hughes who had a lot to answer for and Gent who will deserve more credit than he’s getting. But we will have a better idea in December and February.

Think you are being a bit harsh on TS. In my opinion, is he good enough to play for City, week in week out, No, absolutely not. Was worth having him in the cup squads... He basically got us to the Semi's. That Barrow goal kept the season alive until the Newport game. I know most of the cup games were against the boys, but at least he made it interesting for us.

Can't disagree with anything you said Korban buddy!!!...Very poor window on the recruitment front...Would love to have got JT back for the new season coming but I agree that won't happen now and he will defo play League 1 football next season at a minimum... Adam Wilson deserved more of a chance with us but the system change killed any chance of that happening so I hope he goes out on loan this coming season and maybe if we have a successful season and get out of League 2 there might be a chance 4 him the season after to return to VP and impress in another division possibly under a different system as to the one we currently play...All if's or maybes but I agree with u he's defo not a poor player... Hoping for more quality additions over the next few weeks so fingers crossed we erase this very poor recruitment window and keep looking forward and improving on our signings like we have started doing this window...🤞🏻🤞🏻 Great video as ever Korban my friend and keep them coming thick and fast!!!...Keep SHD on his toes!!!...lol...😂😂😂 UPTFC 🐔🐓⚽️💪🏻👏🏻😍

It’s a poor signing. And given how leaky our defence was last season this isn’t the quality investment our back line needs and if you get a national league defence that’s where you’ll end up. We need a league one defence! Also - our recruitment team do understand the philosophy of battling for places... as in two players competing for a starting place... this looks like we'll be picking players on who is the least shiite in each position.

Is it just me. Since Luke Williams left Notts County in January, they fell off a cliff (until they played us, of-course). The team that we faced at Meadow Lane, looked far better organised than the team that came to us. I know we got thumped, but, to me it felt like a very different team. Maybe better judging him up until January, rather than the whole season. Because a lot of other NC players underperformed too.

Listening to Notts County fans it’s hard not to see this as a downgrade on Platt, and two downgrade cb’s don’t = an up grade because it’s 2 players. What makes me laugh is some of the usual suspects, I won’t name names but one supports Arsenal too are telling us he’s a great signing and Notts county fans don’t know what they’re talking about. Totally fits with the arrogance that they think they know better than fans that have actually seen him play. Hopefully he can iron out his errors otherwise it sounds like we’ve signed Ash Taylor mk2 with pace.
