The way they handled gohan’s death indicated they have the highest respect for him. He didn’t just die like recoome in the anime. He went out like a saiyan, swinging until he literally couldn’t anymore. All I have to say is thanks developers of kakarot because the way they handled this in the words of cell, was “perfect”.

Gohan's death and Bardock's death are eerily similar: -both involve using a one-handed blue attack against a larger orange attack -both times the attack gets overwhelmed and we get to see Gohan/Bardock get engulfed by the blast -their final moments are spent thinking about a young boy being the future's last hope

Future Gohan had it worse. Remebet that all the stuff that happened as a child still exist. His dad had died before and so had Piccolo. At such a young age. He was there when his dad died to the virus and as his friends were killed by the androids. Especially Piccolo and Krillin. Trunks didn't have to see that at all. The only person he actually lost was Gohan. Gohan was like a big bro to him. Goku and Piccolo were like a dad and a best friend to Gohan. Same with Krillin. He lost x3 more loved ones than Trunks did. He cant even rest in peace. While Trunks is in another timeline enjoying a better life, this Gohan was erased by Zeno along with Goku and the others

I really like how they understood the community with this DLC, not even just the cutscenes, and the small fixes like chats going faster, but in the combat too. The community asked a lot of the time to make a fight challenging without just making super-armor spam that the enemy does. They made the androids insanely hard to fight, having high health, doing little damage to them, and even making them do high damage as well. On top of that, the level difference added a bit of a challenge as well. I'd say they really out-did themselves with this DLC.

The only thing this dlc could of done for more pop would of been showing future Gohan 1st ssj transformations. They added escape conditions for the androids. His 1st transformation with a rage boost could of been used as that mechanics introduction but I'm still happy with the product.

I'm a Vegeta fan too, but let's not forget that main-timeline Vegeta loses 1v1 to 18 in their first encounter. Sure, you can argue that present 17 & 18 are stronger than future 17 & 18 (as Future Trunks says), but present Vegeta is also stronger than Future Vegeta (he had twice the push to turn Super Saiyan due to Future Trunks' presence), and you can guarantee his pride would have made him fight alone against both of them, which means putting future 17 & 18 at even half the strength of present 17 & 18 would give them the victory.
