Kuwait is partnering with China to develop the Silk City, one of the world's largest megaprojects to date! Upon completion, the $132 billion project will house over 700,000 individuals, and be a large trading port.
Sabah Al Ahmad Sea City is another project the Kuwait government is currently working on.

Exactly, it’s almost equivalent to Kuwait’s GDP. Would be like the US spending $15 Trillion or China spending $10 Trillion on a project.

If the Planet Coruscant, about the same or slightly smaller than Earth was real, how did they get 21 trillion people and build skyscrapers that are an average of 5,000 stories tall? Even if half of the buildings started underground there had to be difficulties.

Yet the entire country is still a desert. I have been to Dubai. Nice all those glass and steel buildings that all try to reach the skies. I just came back from Greece. A country with 80% vast mountains, breathtaking landscapes, 6000 breathtaking islands each unique in natural beauties/history/cuisine and traditions, 16.000 km of the most crystal clear seas, incredible picturesque villages, towns dotted all around the country, incredible culture, unparalleled history and the most history museums in the world, the highest biodiversity of Europe and the highest endemism of Europe (only unique to Greece) due to it's many islands and mountains, heavenly and very diverse cuisine, and incredibly friendly people which are the biggest treasure of all of Greece's treasures. Wherever I go in Greece, I am in awe and all senses overfilled. The eyes for the incredible beauties, the stomach for the heavenly food, the ears for the sounds, the nose for all the flavours, plants and smells, and the heart for it's people that overfill it. When I go to Greece I feel like home. When I go to Dubai, I see something that is not meant for people from the heart or traditions, but for an last act of survival by pumping it's last resources in one go for a wealth that is not meant for 99.5% of the people. I have a annual salary of 70.000 which is fine for most world standards and to do what one wants. Just not a yacht, or a 2 million dollar apartment somewhere in a skyscraper with a view of endless sand. Instead I buy a house of 150k in Greece that has the most incredible views and knowingly that when I walk outside that I have humanity, beauty, history, culture, cuisine, sea, mountains, landscapes all around me meant for me and any other person. Aside from the story, also the underlying statement that I have come to the true essence of life that love from people is the only real thing that can make me really happy. I have money, I buy my electric robot vacuum cleaner, My new 4k HDR television, my soon to buy new SUV, but nothing makes me smile as people and their real genuine love. That's why I like many countries but have fallen in love with Greece. *That* is what comes to my mind and heart when I watch this video that popped up on my KZbin homepage.

O, sure I have been to Dubai, and one of my sister in law actually lived there for 2 years. Aside from that she said that it was the most boring place she ever lived in, I know perfectly well what I talk about. I am not saying this country doesn't have anything. It has an own culture whatever it may be, it's own religion how free or not it is towards children, women and so on. What I am saying is correct in every way. What I say is that it all sounds nice these glass and metal skyscrapers, but this is wealth on a large scale just for the very few people who can afford this. To me it all sounds and looks fake, because I have been revolved around countries with deep and overflowing traditions, where people still practice many cultural aspects that are thousands of years old and with love and care. I can understand that you say it's different. But love and hospitality cannot be bought with vast wealth. As a matter of fact. Those who are filthy rich, even in a extremely hospitable country like Greece generally have lost much of their true genuine warmth. With the focus on "genuine". Not made, not by thought, but by heart. But yes. Every country can have it's own things, but don't take it personally when I say something that I strongly experienced countless of times and simply express what I believe that is really important.

Ptolemy336VV of course yea you are the reason in this world be nice and do not visit only one city when you travel to a country I have been to france and I can tell you that if you stay only in Paris you will get bored in 2,3 days max but I visited multiple places which made the travel more exciting .
@Ptolemy336VV
@Ptolemy336VV 6 жыл бұрын
Long live California I get the point that you say that if you logically visit multiple places, that.your vacation gets more exciting. But my point is that Greece has almost infinite beauties, diversities, places, gems, landscapes that one can discover aside from loving these cities. But Dubai was already exciting because it was new, but already boring at the same time. It misses all the things that I love when visiting Athens, Berlin and Rome. And the UAE as a country is incomparable compared to Greece or Italy for example. Not that countries should be compared on every aspect, but the aspects that applies to what most people love in the world when traveling is certainly clear. culture, mountains and breathaking landscapes, biodiversity, crystal clear seas and islands, culture, history and food and the people in a country. Countries like Greece and Italy have all aspects and thus my point fitting into yours is that in these countries one keeps maereling. Food for the stomach, crystal clear seas and natural hotsprings for the skin, mountains/landscapes/sea/islands/picturesce tows and villages for the eyes. The cuisine and flowers in spring for the nose and the people for the heart. And all these things are meant and can be enjoyed by anyone. That is something that UAE can never get. And it doesnt have to be. But what it is, is not meant for everyone

There is a lot of corruption going on in Kwait. That’s why this project costs so much. Their subway system was supposed to start in the 90s and still they haven’t began construction till this day. It’s supposed to take 25 years and cost over 10 times of any similar project in the region!
