They have something quite similar in South America but with fewer countries (South America has less countries than Europe, to begin with). Brazil is part of this union and that's why I would love to have a brazilian passport just in case I have kids in the future. I think the point that most who've made comments have missed is that this is a listing of the amount of countries you can gain entry to "without a VISA". There are very few countries in which others are completely prohibited from entry, but in which Visas are required to gain access. And then there are some anomalies, like how we in Canada give employment to half of Australia's adolescents during ski season, but yet we require a Visa to go to Australia. The only member country of the British Commonwealth in which that's a requirement. I think it's time we shut out the ski bums till that situation turns around. lol

Yes sometimes there are discrepancies that are difficult to grasp. It's like citizens of countries from the EU like France can enter the UK visa free and stay there for 180 days while UK citizens can access the EU visa free but stay there only for 90 days. Why is that??? I don't know and there's nothing I can do but be happy that I'm French. 😂 I also love that I can access Canada visa free and spend 6 months there 😅 I managed to spend 3 months in Toronto a while back but had to leave because I ran out of money. But would love to come back and spend 3-6 months in Montreal. Vancouver is quite far and seems a bit more expensive and I've heard there's an epidemy of violent homelesses and drug addicts in downtown Vancouver. Is it fake news?

Also, when there are visa requirements, although they're not prohibited entry, people from poorer countries might still have a hard time getting these visas. They might even pay for applications and get denied, pay for an appeal and get denied again. My uncle has lived in France for 40 years but don't have French citizenship. So, he needed to get a visa to spend holiday in UK with his kids and was denied. He had to pay to appeal and risk losing more of his money if he was denied again, he gave up. This is a man who has permanent residency in an European country with a stable job and own a house. Just imagine some of the hardships someone that lives in Africa might encounter trying to get access to a western country that require a visa? There are loads of Africans risking their lives and many die trying to enter Europe by the sea with inflatable boat. If they could just get a visa, believe me they wouldn't risk their lives like this. So for some people, visa requirements are almost synonym of prohibition to access certain countries. They would get a visa application denied every time while I could access 194 countries visa free and probably not get denied a visa from any country that requires me to apply for one. This world is not fair but I can't complain being privilged, for once😑

Most of visas non exist in really. As example I visited N.Korea, got visa right on border, formal procedure. Also I visited US - it need months to get it, pay a lot of money, pass interview with special agents in embassy (if you are living far from embassy, then you need spend days to came to city where it is for interview) :/ Worst place to visit ever (moreover, in first day in NY I was robbed).

Thats like saying that, as a resident of Sonoma valley I'm not allowed to eat at the French Laundry only because it's expensive, despite it being only one valley over. There are no internal borders in the European Union, so you don't even need a passport there, just an ID card. When I was student, I visited a lot of countries just for free… :/ Slept where could, including literally under bush. Transport - any random car which stopped or just walking. Sometimes illegally on trains. Also, there are exist clubs of people who love to travel. They are agree to accept you in own home for free. Some even can get food and show own city. In almost each city they exist. Nobody need money to travel, except for visas and sometimes food (in each country all people give food if you ask, just ask food, not money) :/

Any European country doesn’t need a passport to work or travel or live in another eu country much better than any other passport where you can’t stay more than 3months without a visa

Some places you get more than 3 months - but that's very passport specific. i.e. Brits get 4 months in Fiji, 180 days in Hong Kong, Macao, Armenia, Jamaica and Mexico, 6 months in Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, El Salvador, Dominica, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Grenada, 183 days in Peru, 8 months in Barbados, and a year in Georgia. Some of those are common for other visa-free countries entering also. Some of those are not. New Zealand and Canada give 6 months but you need an ETA.
