What happened to Master Roshi in the future timeline? In today's video we discuss one of the biggest mysteries in Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super as we discuss Master Roshi. Did he survive zamasu or Androids 17 & 18? Did Master Roshi's immortality die out? Would he be able to stop them with the Mafuba? Qaaman discusses this today.

Apparently in the Kakarot video game, Roshi apparently attempted to “take on 18” in his usual… Roshi way… requiring Trunks to give him a quick save. But take this with a grain of salt… that seems even to dumb even for Roshi…

@@QaamansLand Ight, so Bulma sends Trunks, who is…12(?), out to send supplies to Roshi and crew of the Sub. They talk about the androids for a bit and of course 18 being “kinda hot” pops up and Roshi goes out to find out if the androids have weakness (or he says anyway) anyway when Trunks heads back to Bulma they hear about how 18 is attacking an island close to Kama house. We then see Roshi trying and failing to sway 18 in to being good and then Trunks fight 18 for a bit only for 17 to arrive, the duo naturally wanna kill Trunks but Roshi ask them to kill him instead, 17 being impressed decides to let ‘em go as he’s in a good mood… because he beat the final boss in a videogame. The androids then fly off. Next time we see Future Roshi he then is wanting to have a special memorial for Krillin, however he wants a special capsule Bulma has and send Trunks to get it, the capsule is of course filled with “girly magazines”. Bulma of course wants to beat him up but he seems he wants to burn one for Krillin to take with him in the afterlife… oddly sentimental actually. And until they add a Goku Black DLC that’s about all we get of Future Roshi.

@@QaamansLand I think Gohan is still alive as Trunks is wearing his “CAPSULE” T-Shirt and he can’t go SSJ yet. That part is very odd and I don’t think they ever explain it. As for the Krillin memorial, I guess it’s more of a tribute rather then a funeral. Yeah having side quests in the future timeline is very odd…

This is kind of off-topic, this is something I noticed a long time ago with Future Trunks traveling back to the present timeline in DBS. I would love to hear your viewpoints whenever you decide to make another DB timeline video again. 1) Instead of traveling back to Goku Black's past and creating an alternate main timeline, why didn't Future Trunks travel to the timeline where Goku Black had already succeeded in killing Goku? 2) What did Beerus and the Z fighters do once they found out Goku, Chichi and Goten were killed? It is disappointing that it remains unclear and ambiguous. How different are the events in Goku Black's timeline compared to the new main timeline played out? That is what I want to know.

1. I don't think that's possible because Trunks never went there via a time machine. 2. Since Black/Zamasu left there is really nothing they could have done

@@QaamansLand 1. Perhaps I am confusing myself, but my initial thought process was that Goku Black's timeline was one of the four OG timelines in DBZ via the Main Timeline. As a result, Future Trunks should have traveled to Goku Black's timeline where Goku is already dead instead of going back into his past. However, Future Trunks traveled back into his past and helped change the course of the outcome of events that we know of.

I guess Master Roshi was killed off-screen after some time after that submarine scene, I can't see him sitting around watching those androids destroying everything without even trying to do something, he didn't seat around watching during King Piccolo's reign of terror, maybe he indeed tried using the Mafuba, he failed and was killed, all of that off-screen, even after Trunks defeated the androids completely he never showed up on Bulma's place and that's strange.

The problem with the Mafuba is that the Androids had info about it and even if he seals one the other can still kill Roshi and free the other. He can't do this without support.

Trunks learning the mafuba from a cellphone was my breaking point with DB as a franchise. I've never recovered. From then on I knew that I should be realistic with myself and if I want to keep consuming the stuff they put out. I knew they weren't going to improve on what I cared about, focus on what I cared about, they were just going to do whatever if it looked cool. Just seeing that part come up in this video brought all this forth. It's a haunting memory

With Tien, did he fully learn it the correct way? I thought he didn't really get the full technique which was partially why he failed. Also why he didn't die after using it. In retrospect, the Trunks special was unnecessarily dark. There were options besides the Z force mindlessly attacking the androids: King Kai could have reach out to them, Gohan and Trunks training with Roshi, then Korin, then Popo, then King Kai. Also, with so many fast warriors, Bulma could have made extra dragon radars and have the Dragon Balls ready to wish away Goku's heart disease.

Well if we take out the unseen, alternative present and the New Trunks timeline and only focus with the original timeline, Future Trunks time. I would think that Future Roshi died fighting black. If he was still alive, it would’ve made sense for him to be with the survivors. Especially to consider that yajirobe showed up out of the blue. But because he was never mentioned again, it’s fair to say that future Roshi is no longer there. Heck not even Oolong and puar are mentioned again.
