Wasn't it also in the manga, where Master Roshi criticized Goku for focusing in raw strength from transformations and such, due to fighting overpowered people like Vegeta, Frieza, Cell, Majin Buu and every other strong being that came after, and that was what basically reminded Goku of his past as a martial artist, and after that is where he started fighting more skillfully and eventually unlocked Ultra Instinct, and I see as that something really mattering in Goku's development as a fighter, because on Namek was where he mostly learned that his techniques could not beat pure raw strength at the time, since even with his techniques he could not put down Freiza and required Super Saiyan to do it, so I can kind of see where it makes sense for Master Roshi to be the strongest, when it comes to skill itself since he has the most experience.

It's likely that Grandpa Gohan has been reincarnated. Can't remember at which point of the franchise it's said but most souls, regardless of if they go to Heaven or Hell, get reincarnated after a bit of time in the Afterlife. Just like Buu gets reincarnated into Uub. Only the very rare few get to maintain themselves such as when Goku got to keep his body for saving Earth so many times. Of course, this could have been changed since every incarnation of this property makes some sort of change.

It’s kind of hard to guess regarding Uub’s power if we apply Super into this. Roshi’s feats are insane but I think it was underestimated how much energy Uub gave out given that it was enough to give Goku to become MUI again and being able to get through Moro’s defenses. If you take their fight in Z with Super’s context, obviously Goku is holding back significantly to make the fight interesting but Uub is still managing to trade blows. Like I said though, Super’s powerscaling makes this so confusing and frustrating

I find it ridiculous that he defeated the mighty Tenshinhan. Like okay maybe if you wanna say Tenshinhan and Chaozu are not by definition human (and both should be way stronger than Roshi). However Yamucha and Kuririn are full humans and should be way more powerful than him as well even if they trained less/not at all over the years. Now obviously not by BP but by skill it's crazy that he surpassed them. If he is that strong- Why didn't he came to fight against Nappa and Bejita? I think we should start looking at things in a few new ways to some, different ways for others, and a concept well-known to many for millennia. A.) your ki "energy/power" is completely relative to 3 factors regarding oneself (not elaborating) most importantly one's potential, potential has a relative meaning in it's several uses, and that is why super saiyan goku can be hurt with a rock while sleeping/unaware, possibly even assassinated with a gun, that is why mai was trying to quite possibly snipe goku black; however, even DBS wrongly portrayed the core principles of energy and techniques such as the spirit bomb. B.) we might as well look at all grades of SSJ, such as 1, 2, 3, and all in-betweeners as simply Super Saiyan and the "forms" are just tapping into the Super Saiyan power, the super saiyan potential, and not "power-scale" them based on a number, and finally C.) we should take all of that into account at that when comparing comparing certain characters like Roshi, Buu, Jiren, Uub; Buu (junsui) was a frickin uncontrollable menace, you can't power scale that, he could have probably raised his ki and bubblegummed enough to overwhelm jiren or fallen into a coma so deep you could push his ass right into an electric rice cooker, he's a great example.

I think people powerscale Super from a very wrong criteria of perceived strength, while in fact it is about stance, form and technique. Roshi is weaker compared to the other 3 humans actually, but has infinite better ki control and advanced abilities to counter that. In the series humans were always about potential output vs stamina, the same way Krillin's destructo disk was OP against everyone until the Cell saga

I figured that since Roshi fought in Res F, he realized that he couldn't just leave things to the New Generation like he was fine with back in the OG days of dragonball. This was further reinforced when Goku came to him to learn the Mafuba, when Roshi even wondered how bad things have gotten if *Goku* has to resort to it. So he had plenty of time to do bit of image training (the same training Freeza did back in Hell), which at his age was the most optimal route for him while he played catch up.

sincerely, Roshi was weaker than any of the Z fighters (even weaker than yamcha) by the time vegeta and nappa arrived at earth. but, retcons, plot holes and how much people like roshi has forced the hand of fate to make him relevant despite that being an absurd. the strongest human would be either krilin or tenshin. if you take into account that A17 and A18 are humans (even if enhanced) one of them would be the strongest. probably A17 is stronger but that's anybody's guess. Videl could become stronger than Roshi if properly trained (or if she had trained for real since she was little) but she will never get the proper training. and we all know that Uub only lacks experience. he's far more powerful than roshi but he would, probably, lose to him. unless Uub hit roshi with all he has before roshi could begin with his tricks.

If you consider dragon ball super for power scaling, your brain will explode. Dragon ball super is absolute garbage, it's fan service. Master roshi was 139, probably 250 at max power, while Yamcha surpassed 20000 for sure. Yamcha continued to train and fought against androids, cell and Majin bu. At the end, I can give him something like 500000 or 1 million, which is nothing if compared to other Z warriors with billions of power. Then you put master roshi at jiren level, which is thousand of billions, for no fucking reason. Dragon ball super manga is even worse than the anime. In the anime, master roshi was chosen not for his power, but for the experience in tournaments and strategy. In the anime, he fought against garbage fighters from unknown universes, so you can't tell if they were powerful or not. In the manga, he fought against Frost (which is Freezer's counter part in his final form!) and he fought against Jiren to show to Goku in super sayan fucking blue form how to fight with ultra instinct, which makes absolutely no sense. In dragon ball super, the authors are so ignorant that they confused what in dragon ball z is considered basic martial art skills, like anticipating moves and dodging kicks, with ultra instict at god level. Just to make an example: Beerus can destroy 10 planets with a sneeze. Goku was able to oppose Beerus in his super sayan god form. Jiren defeated easily Goku in his super sayan blue form. Master roshi fought against Jiren. So, master roshi is more powerful than the entire sayan race, a super sayan, Freezer, Cell, Majin bu, a super sayan god and a super sayan blue? OR dragon ball super is just fan service for little kids, which makes absolutely no sense?

No you can't, in Z and original cannon Tienshinhan was in the Buu saga untill Uub, but in Super Master Roshi is the strongest not counting 17, then Krillin not counting 18, then Uub then unfortunately Tienshinhan

Having a coward like Krillin be the strongest human is lame to me anyway. I’d rather Roshi be the strongest human over Krillin. At least Roshi has hundreds of years of observing what works and what doesn’t and there’s no reason to assume Roshi hasn’t done gravity training.
