The whole area in Richmond near The Diamond is not great which explains the high price.

Can confirm that The Diamond in Richmond is due for a serious upgrade. Have had good times there in the past with friends and family, but it needed to be renovated at least a decade ago. Also looking forward to the Chattanooga Lookouts' new stadium in the city's South Broad District.

Thanks for the upload. I especially like the Edmonton project. This is what you like to see even in a minor league ballpark. Something unique that stands out

The addition to the Fightin Phils' stadium is known as the Redner's Event Center and has actually already been mostly built (at least exterior-wise). The lower level (field level) will contain the new clubhouses for both the Fightins' and visiting teams while the upper level will be an event space that can host up to 500 people in a banquet setting. It doesn't look all that big in the renderings but it's actually very impressive in-person - honestly, it adds a nice and much-needed uniqueness to First Energy Stadium. Excited that my hometown AA team is getting such a great addition!

So technically it is not a new stadium? I love Reading’s park. It’s super historic. Hope it stays.

You missed the Salt Lake Bees stadium in South Jordan, Utah for 2025. I haven't seen any renderings my self. Also the new University of Utah baseball stadium.

The Hillsboro park is curious because the current park is only ten years old… and only cost $15 million. It was interesting in that it incorporated the “concourse” of the neighboring football stadium (used by Portland State) into its concourse. The current stadium was kind of a rush job to claim Portland metropolitan territory before interests representing an east side suburb could act… though the east siders never really had a chance. $120 million to increase capacity by 1,000? Bugs me, even if the current facility has no luxury suites and just a bare bones clubhouse for club seats. The GM talks about not only concerts, but business retreats and other possibilities for what he terms a 300 days-per-year facility. Meanwhile, elsewhere in the Northwest League, the Eugene Emeralds might be on track to get a ballpark at the Lane County Fairgrounds. Also, city leaders in Everett are working with the Aquasox on a potential new facility closer to downtown than the current Everett Memorial Stadium.

I would assume that Richmond will be seeking a Triple A team after the new stadium is completed. I think that Washington would probably prefer Richmond over Rochester, NY (where the current Triple A team is situated) if only due to closer proximity to the parent club.

Cornerstone thats some serious homefield advantage. Salt Lake city is building a ballpark trying to get a MLB team. Hard to find any renderings, but 2 minutes is probably not enough searching time.

I’ve actually been to the cornerstone stadium, it’s very nice, also the whitecaps renovation seems nice but it takes away from the aspect of lawn seats which is a fan favorite at the stadium and I hate they are removing them

Referencing minor league clubs, question. Why don’t the teams field configurations mimic the parent clubs fields. Understanding in some cases geographic location may be prohibitive.
@MikeyKaos716 Жыл бұрын
Affiliations also change regularly, so a parent club may not stay a parent club for long. And just because a park has the same dimensions, doesn't mean everything will play the same (wind patterns, climate, etc).
