Where I live I would probably get smacked for mentioning it, but part of me wishes that the Red Sox would build a new stadium. I love Fenway and recognize it as an historic museum, but it's very obsolete. The seating is so squished unless you're sitting with no one on either side of you, it's hard to enjoy.

Originally, the A’s were thinking about building a new stadium in Oakland, but in a new location, right on the bay! I think in that spot, there should be a minor league ballpark. The Las Vegas Aviators of MiLB, one of the A’s affiliates, would probably just move to that new stadium in Oakland out of my suggestion, and become the Oakland Aviators. The Las Vegas A’s would be their MLB affiliate. Basically, the MLB and MiLB teams would do a little “flip-flop”. I also think that both the original A’s stadium and the arena in Oakland should be demolished, and replaced with an entertainment district that contains a new arena that would likely be home to the WNBA’s Golden State Valkyries, instead of having to share Chase Center with the Warriors. It would be smaller, but hopefully much more modern tech than Chase Center to get equal treatment with the Warriors. Basically, Chase Center would be larger, but this arena that the Valkyries would play in would be better.
@scotttild17 сағат бұрын
The spot the A's were thinking of was at the Port of Oakland where they had some land. Unfortunately that window has closed. Port only gave the A's and the City 120 days to come up with a deal. The land might be for a new MLS team but my understanding is the Port really wants to expand and not use that parcel for their own goals.

For Nashville to get an MLB team, the would be new stadium needs to be built totally or primarily privately funded due to the expensive new Nissan Stadium under construction. Given how cheap the Rays and White Sox ownerships are Music City would be better with an expansion team barring the clubs being sold to new owners. I've never understood why Chicago hasn't had multiple major sports teams in the same league apart from baseball, at least since the football Cardinals left town. The Windy City is the third largest market after New York City and Los Angeles.

I think that the Tampa Bay Rays should move to Orlando and become the Orlando Rays. I also think that MLB should expand to 32 teams. I think the targets should be Charlotte NC and Nashville TN. In my opinion, Austin TX, Birmingham AL, Columbus OH, Hartford CT, Indianapolis IN, Jacksonville FL, Louisville KY, Montreal QC, New Orleans LA, Oklahoma City OK, Ottawa ON, Portland OR, Sacramento CA, Salt Lake City UT, San Antonio TX, and Vancouver BC, can all be considered as well.
@scotttild17 сағат бұрын
Austin is out Rangers and Houston would protest same with San Antonio both would claim that area. Canada is out, the taxes and currency exchange make it impossible for teams in Canada to make a real profit, Blue Jays are in a big market so they can kind of make it work, but players are not clamoring to play in Canada. It was not just the building and attendance that was an issue with the Expos. Sacramento has already been investigated by both the Giants and A's and neither wanted to go there long term. Salt Lake City, OKC and Portland, Nashville and Charlotte would be possible.

@ Vegas is a tourist town with tons of transplants and cities like that never have good home-field advantages, that’s never going to change for the Raiders or the A’s. It’s the same way in Los Angeles and the Rams just won the Super Bowl a couple of years ago and they still have split crowds. That’s just how it is in a tourist town. As for sports I do think most are for the Dodgers myself included, but hey will the Dodgers continue to be this good, let’s say in a decade, if not and the A’s are on the upswing, then Vegas may start routing for A’s mainly cause A’s are a California team and will be playing in front of former CA residents. I’m sorry if that’s too much rambling, here’s what I’m saying I think most Nevada residents will wish the best for the A’s even if they aren’t your team or not, especially ones from Ca.

White Sox needs to relocate to Orlando or how about North Carolina? One of the most popular and heavily growing states now, why not Charlotte or Raleigh? I would even throw out bringing a team back to Montreal, Chicago does not need 2 teams and from an owner mindset you are probably losing money staying in Illinois at this point.
