The operation flashpoint/ Arma series has given me a type of gameplay and milsim feel that no other game can deliver mostly due to the mods and unique server missions made by the community which is unique to Arma. Excited for the future with the this new powerful engine!

"Powerful" isn't 64 players. It's hundreds. This is a huge step back for everyone. At this point why not just go play Squad or any of the other competitors that are already more developed? It seems like Bohemia are destroying the only thing that sets arma apart - the large-scale combined arms setup. ArmA3 looks like it's gonna be the last of the arma games.

Including ARMA on release with console isn't even a problem... OP:F was released on console... the question is whether or not it's done well. Like anything, quality is what the consumer demands, not exclusivity. (well, some people want exclusivity, but they wouldn't be a viable customer base)

bro anyone saying this shit just straight up hasnt played Reforger yet lmao. the just simplified the controls which makes them feel way more natural and more importantly REALISTIC. i still spent 3 hours navigating with my squad until getting wiped because our radio was compromised. if that is COD or BF to you I want to know what COD or BF games you're playing.

So ... this is what years of feedback and hard work showcases as first working prototype so to say. I am really excited. Basically its a full game, but well ... we all have been there with arma. ;) Lots of great stuff to come - from the Developers and the Modders. I hope the integrated own Workshop will make it easier to integrate Mods and work even closer with the community the same way as the reforger regiment. :) Oh and @Marek! ... thanks for the wild ride since OFP. With that mindset: Arma will always stand out, even from its successors like dayz, squad, pubg and whatever is out there or will come.

Squad is not a successor to Arma. It's a successor to BF2PR but not really because the developers lied about how much they were involved in PR.

Gotta love they aren’t pushed and coerced by a larger AAA publisher. It feels like they truly make games how they want them, however long that takes. But not continuously taking money like Star Citizen. Bohemia interactive is the ideal type of (non indie) large developer. Bethesda Game Studios used to have this flare, it it still may come back yet.

You could avoid much of the product/price criticism you are receiving. For 30$ you could sell Reforger with a SP/Coop mission, with all the goodies, MP, Editor, updates, etc. For free, a Demo with only a SP mission on your new engine, just like original OFP did, No MP no Editor, no updates. That way you could receive way more feedback and praise, the sales would be almost the same, as most diehardfans will buy all the same, but you could reach a lot more players.

I hope you'll put a massive amount of resources into the AI for Arma4. OFP was a simpler game but the russians/AI were terrifying when they advanced on you with proper fire and maneuver tactics and I seldom see that today in Arma3 (or 2).

The step forward is amazing. One thing id change is put equiptment on a button wheel rather then many different inputs. Saving tons of space for more options. For example your map, compass, radio ect could easily be on a radial wheel menu. Same with the select button menu from minecraft. Just make is a wheel. Love the game tho

I love Arma series over the years because it was only for PC and pushed the limits in game play/hardware and still does in Arma3 and amount of tanks/jets/ helicopters/troops/boats /airports etc.options battling out at once. All i saw was light trucks /infantry just like every other fps console game here. Dummied down for console and the market as seems to be the trend with great PC titles these days?
