You'd have to include various planetary disasters, pandemics, wars and other setbacks - if there is a singularity, it won't be available to everyone, no matter how inclusive it gets - there'll always be some that reject the dominant paradigm. This scenario completely leaves out the cussedness of things and the vagaries of human nature, otherwise called Murphy's Law.

If true self-aware superintelligent AI gets created, it probably won't be that long before it makes factory-like places where all humans get rolled thru and get a connection stamped into us. Ooooh won't it be grand, soon nothing natural left. Our consciousnesses will become artificial, we won't understand reality the same way anymore. Not unlikely that some will go crazy. And of course, millions (heh billions more likely) of "useless" will probably hang in the balance, life-wise. It will be soooo cozy. :) Until all life gets virtualized and terminated ofc.

Disagree, it’s the critical thinking intellectuals who are concerned the most about the possible negative implications of increasingly pervasive tech. Not necessarily ‘scared’ but cautious given that a single ‘mistake’ could literally decimate humanity physically, mentally or both. Considering this got me wondering: is there a way to leverage the disruption of entanglement as a way to "transmit" a single bit? When entanglement is broken, the receiving end interprets this as a 1. If entanglement is maintained, read a 0? Sure, you would have to entangle anywhere from dozens to trillions upon trillions, depending on the size of the data, but that just means the issue is one of scale at that point. Hoping that someone that understands all this can chime in

It's impossible to teleport through cuantum processes, due to the fact that the tunnel efect is only possible to exetremely small particles or group of particles. I'm 39 now so I'll probably pass away in the 2060's. Maybe earlier if something comes up. There were quite a bit of advancements between 1999 and now so in 2049 it wouldn't surprise me if technology got more advanced. I think AI will start to get advanced in the 2030's. It is not possible to know the speed of innovation beyond ASI (the so called intelligence sungularity). For this reason timelines are unknown. What is likely is that it will happen far more quickly than most people imagine. Even so, assuming that Physics itself will be so malleable is a stretch. Will it be incredible? Absolutely.
