Just ordered some for my 14 year old’s bday. I’m so stoked for her to have some “real skates”. I have the FR1. We’re gonna be tearing it up, father/daughter!

I too have been riding with my daughter for many years (FR/FR) however she has long overtaken me despite her young age (15). She's a speed skater and now I'm usually the one watching her back when she's away. Although not always. Sometimes I overtake her for a moment. I wish you and your daughter many great moments on the skates. :-).

When you do fall, they hold up very well (I have experience lol). They really improved the protection around the buckle from the 2020 model. Love the quality and consistent design enhancements. Couldn’t recommend these boots more. I have both the 2020 and 2022 110 3WD. This new model has held up to 1200 miles of hard city skating so far and feels brand new still

@@CatzzSkatesFamilyApprox. 260,- EUR back in 2022 (Germany) for Twister XT. They vary in price significantly. And another 200,- for the endless frames. The hydrogen wheels came with the Twister XT. And I added a heelbrake for 20,- for stopping in crowded and tight spaces, like the slim edge of some pumptracks where lotsa kids line up and wait. That one's ugly but priceless. Oh, and switching from a softboot (K2) to a hardshell is a gamechanger as well.

Loving those shelves to house your skates. It clearly shows the love and pride and legacy of your skating journey. I appreciate that. I grew up rollerblading at the age of 4, 40 now, got bac into it with the basc roller blade boot not knowing where my skill set would be. To my surprise I recalled everything and realized I needed a more advanced skate. Prior to the purchase I was enjoying how wizard skating became a thing, and the investment it took to incorporate all the right frames, wheels, and boots separately. For the price point I didn't think I was ready, till after skating I re-realized my love for skating again was hidden for many years, definitely worth investing into a skate that meets the skill. With all that being said, and the wizard style peaking my interest, do you find the Twixter XT potentially satisfying both regular and wizard skating?

Anyone has experience with regards to how the ≈350g heavier weight of the Twister boot feels like compared to a carbon boot for urban skating? Is it a noticeable decrease in agility?
@ericbernardi811610 ай бұрын
Not much... Major factor for weight and agility is frame and wheel size... Carbon boots are more reactive and have better power transfer but no shock absorbtion. I'd say carbon is mainly good for slalom, speed and marathon skaters... For tough city skating hard shells are best. RB Twister and PS Next have the best power transfer, upgrade with an Intuition liner and they perform very well + nicer for jumps, stairs and bad surface 😊
@kokainakralj10 ай бұрын
for urban, u actually wont a bit more weight. U hit the rock, u go on rough roads, u do stair bashing, and this plastic handles falls much better than carbon. Twister is great boot, I do have them but I skate my FR's more, wouldn't consider carbon boot for my style of intense urban riding at all.
