Hi FutureCanoe I just wanted to take a moment and say that 2024 was a really difficult year for me and I spent most of it so worn down that I didn't have it in me to really do much and I found your channel sometime last year when the going got the toughest. I know I'm not exactly the most social person lately but I want to say that your channel really helped me smile and laugh through some really hard times and those smiles are keeping me going with how funny you are through cooking mistakes and how genuine you are with this content. Cooking is something so important to me that when I watched your content I got a little energy to start cooking ambitious recipes again. Maybe someday I'll even upload my own recipes again. Thank you for everything you do for us all and I hope that 2025 keeps bringing more people to this channel because in less than a year this has become one of my favorite channels and I love how down to earth it is.

How fast you've grown. I stumbled your video back in 2023. (Don't ask what was the first video because I can't remember a thing as I was in a very dark place. lol) But despite my eyes were being so puffy after hours of crying, my brain was screaming with a lot of really really bad things, but my fingers keep scrolling through your page just to find an ounce of happiness. I don't think I found them but I found whys I should be living another day, "I want to watch their bad cooking again and......ligma fork" So I followed you and watched every new and old videos until I stopped. Then months of therapy, and here we are! I was surprised that you already have 3M+. The last time I check you was climbing (fast) for that 2M. Hey, FUTURE CANOE I have a meal from my country that u could make 🇿🇦 it's called bunny chow Here’s a simple recipe to make Bunny Chow, the famous South African dish: Ingredients: For the Curry: 500g meat of choice (chicken, lamb, beef, or use vegetables for a vegetarian version) 2 tbsp vegetable oil 1 large onion, finely chopped 2 garlic cloves, minced 1 tsp ginger, minced 2 tbsp curry powder (adjust to taste) 1 tsp turmeric powder 2 large tomatoes, chopped (or 1 cup canned tomatoes) 1 cup potatoes, peeled and diced 1 cup water or chicken stock Salt to taste Fresh coriander for garnish For the Bunny Chow: 1 loaf of fresh white bread Butter (optional, to spread inside the bread) --- Instructions: 1. My childhood dog past away 2 days ago, and I’ve never felt so empty. He was with me my whole life, since I was 2 and he passed at 14. I’ve been so down for these past days and have found it hard to stop crying 💔 but I brang myself to your channel, in hopes to feel a bit better, and I was only 3 minutes in and I felt a hint of happiness in my heart. I recently started cooking for my family and friends and he (futurecanoe) is on my mind and I'm constantly thinking about his disasters. It's really comforting and satisfying to see his recipes. In this era wher everyone is so perfect and posting so much cool stuff and perfection in everything here's this man showing that it's just life it's not important to be perfect on every recipe you watch or you try to make and i love this thing about him. Struggle meal from Hungary, Eastern Europe. My dad used to do this when we had a bunch of days or weeks old dry bread, buns, croissant and other leftover baked goods. - You just brake or cut apart the DRY baked goods into 3-5 cm pieces. - Put it tightly in a baking pan and pour the magic (milk mixed with instant sugared cocoa powder) on it until it is almost full. Sprinkle MORE cocoa powder onto it. + If you want you can sprinkle dark chocolate onto it before baking, but we just ate without it or we mixed raisins into the milk mixture - Cover the tray with aluminium foil and put it in the oven for 30 minutes at 180 celsius. If you want a good color bake 10 more minutes without foil. - Let it cool down and shove it into your face. 😄 It was a pretty rare occasion. We usually grinded most of the leftovers into breadcrumbs for deep fry, but at some point you just don't need more. This is a fun way to recycle leftover food.
