The Spire secure in its prime location, keeps a watchful flickering eye, Shining as a beacon, against the dense hazy hues of the unwelcome sky, Bleak filled with lingering gloom, the heaviness sits with cemented strength, What secrets and darkness have you chained and swallowed inside? Shadowed, unwilling to reveal the horror of centuries, the echoes murmuring and screech, What entities walk these corridors? The walls dare not speak of the shadows that still weep, The wind bows at the feet of the almighty Spire, It eerily and hauntingly in hushed whisper “Aramae I am the nightmare you fear, come you have been summoned,” Darkness is enveloped in an embrace, on this night what is his fate? Are they entwined in a mystical dance of predetermined destiny? In darkness, the eye flickers and shines waiting for Aramae to take the bait.

Reminds me of the first chapter of Emile Zola's "Germinal" novel. In this chapter, you discover the character of Etienne, who is walking in the dark of night along the road, when he spots a fire burning in the horizon. After a few miles in that direction, he comes accross a man, driving a chariot along the road in the opposite direction. The man's name is "Bonne Mort" ("Lucky Death") because he survived a lot of accidents during his life at the mine. The two have a chit-chat, and Etienne asks Bonne Mort about the source of the fire in the horizon. "It's the coal mine". He then asks the man if they are hiring. Bonne Mort only says "maybe" and disappears in the night. In the first chapter, Zola wanted to draw a parallel between the coal mine and Hell, with this dialog representing the journey of a dying soul to the river Styx, which makes Bonne Mort of Charon of some sort.

Mission Brief: The Spire stands looming fearlessly over the desolation of the rotted valley, a living, breathing entity formed as a simulacrum of perpetual decay. My surroundings are a perplexing blend of reality and nightmare, and I find myself struggling to distinguish between the two. Since awakening in these arcane lands, the structure's presence has been a constant, oppressive force, densely packed amidst the atmosphere around me. Incident Report: Awakening: Time: Indeterminate I awoke in an unfamiliar terrain, the air thick with the scent of decay. The valley stretched out in grotesque, twisted forms, and the Spire rose above it all, a malevolent sentinel. My thoughts are fragmented, disjointed. I remember falling into a breach, a rift of some kind, but everything after is a blur of distorted images and fleeting emotions. Encounter with the Spire: The Spire seems to pulsate with a dark vitality, its surfaces crawling with what appears to be a mimicry of organic life. Vines and tendrils of shadow weave in and out of its structure, giving it an eerie semblance of sentience. I feel a deep-seated fear and an overwhelming sense of delusion. The Spire’s presence is an assault on my senses, both real and imagined. Strange Visions: As I approach the Spire, my mind is bombarded with bizarre and confusing visions. They call out to me, but their meanings are lost in the cacophony of my fractured mind. Solution Report: Attempted Stabilization: I attempt to stabilize my thoughts by focusing on my last clear memory: falling into the breach. The effort is draining, and my grip on reality feels tenuous at best. I use what little remains of my training to set a course towards the IRD building, but the path is obscured by the Spire's malevolent influence. The distinction between what is real and what is imagined has blurred beyond recognition. As I press on with Aramae, the only constant is the oppressive presence of the Spire and the faint hope of finding our way back.
