Would you be willing to share how you get that synth bass?
@Futurescapes-SciFiAmbience9 ай бұрын
Sure! It's a warm Bass synth sound with a medium attack and release, a bit of saturation and reverb, and the important part is having it in legato mode with a tiny bit of glide so it quickly slides between the notes :) @@mordekaihorowitz

I‘ve lost count on how many times I‘ve played Mass Effect. This series is something special. The characters are so well designed. And I enjoyed Andromeda, too. It‘s a bit of a shame I think that we won‘t see those characters for another game! Thanks for this track!
@andrewchr8 ай бұрын
You never know. I heard ME4 might bring some of them back.
@norgeball39718 ай бұрын
@@andrewchr This will be interesting, I guess, when the original trilogy and Andromeda will meet. Who do you think it will be? My first guess would be Peebee, which would make sense age-wise if the game is set far into the future. I also saw a figure that‘s reminiscent of Jaal on one of the posters, which would be cool as he‘s one of my favourite characters in Andromeda!
@andrewchr8 ай бұрын
@@norgeball3971Can't say for sure, but I read that since ME4 will take into account the Destroy ending timeline, the Galaxy now will have to reinvent new FTL technology since Mass Relays got wrecked, and that's where Liara comes in using Geth tech (that was originally used to allow travelling between galaxies in Andromeda) and that's where we'll possibly see Andromeda characters (Peebee as you said) or even have the ability to travel between Galaxies at one point in the game, either at the end or from the start, depending on the narrative. Hopefully all this becomes true.
@norgeball39718 ай бұрын
@@andrewchr That sounds really interesting, let‘s hope it turns out to be as good as all the games so far! Considering your input, this would mean the beginning would be set right after the destroy ending took place (I never took that route myself but I see why this would be canonized): so at that time, only Drack and Peebee could have been born already as they‘re Krogan/Asari, or am I going wrong here? (I think the trilogy was set in 2180-something, while Andromeda is set in 2800-something right?) I don‘t know about how long it will take Liara to make intergalactic travel possible. It is implied however in the trailer, that she could be way older in the new game than she was in the original trilogy
@surrealfeline4 ай бұрын
Honestly I felt the same way. People gave Andromeda such a hard time and I really enjoyed it - especially how they link the two stories together as you uncover Ryder's father's logs. Some of the characters were really great and I'd love to see them again. Anyway, terrific mix this is, really thrums the depths of my soul, both the dark and light. Makes me grateful to be alive.

Outstanding composition! These chords surface emotions that are inexplicable. You are also talented. It's not the skill you possess, nor is it the talent (which you truly have both). it's your ability to translate what's in your heart and mind so that the world can hear and understand the language you use to compose this masterpiece. You've got talent and skills, but the one thing that you have that you can't learn in school or be taught is your hearing, and that's a gift. This beautiful music was composed because of that gift. If something doesn't sound right while composing, it's not going to be in the song. It is always the last thing you rely on, and it is always the first thing you need to begin. Great work! It's absolutely stunning.
@Futurescapes-SciFiAmbience3 ай бұрын
Thank you for all the kind words! I absolutely agree. The most impactful part of music for me is the translation of emotion. Not simply putting a bunch of notes and rhythms together. It's something that has to be felt and come from a life of loving music and art, taking it all in so you can pour it back out. So glad you like the music and enjoy the channel!

@Futurescapes-SciFiAmbience Absolutely right! I'm honored I found your channel. I'm looking forward to hearing more of these beautiful compositions in the future. Hahaha well that's great you're inspired and getting some gear! Absolutely let me know if you have questions. At some point in the future I'm planning on having some kind of educational resource on how I make ambient music, like an online crash course or something. But until then I'm always down to give advice where I can :) If you're out buying things and unsure of where to start I do suggest focusing on digital things first and just get into hardware synths and such if you are passionate about that specifically. I can point you to loads of amazing free stuff to use (many of which I use all the time!)@@Texxavy

Alright, is this recording? Shit, I hope so. Here Captain First Class Goodsprings in command of the cargo ship Icarus, it is August 18 of the year 2532 post cataclysm and my crew and I are being pursued by an unknown force that has been on our heels for three systems. It is difficult to describe it, it seems to be a kind of oval ship made of mirrors, as it approached us it emitted an electromagnetic field that attracted us towards its orbit, we narrowly escaped. We tried to lose her in the breach of Origae III, but it was impossible to fool her, she has tracked us somehow. Several attempts to communicate have been made but no response has been received. As a last resort, we have fired our MAC rounds and none have hit the target, all without exception have been discarded before reaching the ship. We are currently heading to the nearest inhabited system, hoping to find help on one of Haumea V's moons. I will periodically maintain these records before we reach our destination. Richard Goodsprings. Signing off.
