It's quite the simple beat, the fact that it doesn't have much variation helps a lot to replicate it. The drop at 5:35 will always be my favorite part of the song, such a simple thing to do to reinforce the impact of the beat, it's so good.
@FutureSoundsOfficialАй бұрын
Exactly. Even though it has so few elements and the progression is relatively typical, each sound is so refined that it creates such a satisfying and uplifting beat. I absolutely love the final drop section as well, starting with the reverb impact.

Wow... just wow. The level of the sound design is crazy man. I'm sure you have learned for years. Do you have some advice or tips to learn Serum?
@FutureSoundsOfficial12 күн бұрын
Thank you! I'm really happy to hear that. Let me share a story about one of the typical mistakes I made when I was starting out: I used to think that the more I tweaked the parameters, the better the sound would get. I later realized that wasn’t true. Sometimes, setting the main oscillator to Polyphonic 1 actually gives you a better sound, and there were many times when cutting out effects entirely made the sound better. If you want to maintain a clean, clear sound that’s easy on the ears, keeping that in mind can be really helpful!
wow this is unbelievably clean and accurate. when you sound design, do you typically start from a preset and adjust until you get the sound perfect or do you start on scratch? thank you and amazing work.
@FutureSoundsOfficialАй бұрын
Thank you for the kind comment! Honestly, I use both approaches. When I can’t recall or find anything suitable in my library, I create from scratch. For simple sounds, starting from scratch is often faster, so I tend to go that route. For this batch of presets, all but one were built completely from scratch.

If you're not already, it's possible to stem-separate + recreate kicks in Kick Ninja or Kick 3. But yeah, amazing remake.
@FutureSoundsOfficialАй бұрын
Oh, really! I actually stopped at Kick 2, so thanks for the useful info! If you had to choose, which one would you recommend between Kick Ninja and Kick 3?
@ArcessitorАй бұрын
@@FutureSoundsOfficial Kick Ninja, for sure. I am biased but it's so much more accurate and easy to use. And it takes literally a second to do. Drag in your stem separated kick into the first slot, rightclick and Simplify Envelope. Amp Envelope the 2nd slot (top layer click it generates) to remove any reverb or cymbal decay on top of the kick. Now you have a clean sub layer and a clean click. Only thing to keep in mind is that KPop pretty much always has RBass/MaxBass to saturate on the kick drums, so if you want it to sound the same in the mix you're gonna want to reintroduce that saturation.
@FutureSoundsOfficialАй бұрын
You’re an expert, huh?! Thanks for the amazing info! It’d be even better if Kick Ninja goes on sale for Black Friday!

It sounds just like the original, good job. Could you show the drum kits in other projects in the future? I'm horrible at choosing when composing and these videos help me differentiate them. ty
@FutureSoundsOfficialАй бұрын
Thanks! I'm really sorry for the boring internal issues, but editing the breakdown for just the synth part is more challenging than it looks, and the cost-effectiveness makes it tough to do breakdown previews for the drum kits. While it will be paid content, you can access project files and related samples on Patreon, so if you're interested, please give it a try!
