Edgar quero lacks arm talent the bat is really good I want to keep him and give him reps at first base

Yup. Plenty of reps as back up first base and DH to use both and not kill either with 130 games behind the plate a year. Maybe you get a 90-70 split and then float another 160 games between the 2 at dh/first base.

@@Wildjuan23 and before anyone says "neither guy will hit enough homers..." realize that Andrew Vaughn had lead our team a few times now with around 20 and a batting average barely over 250 with an obp below 325. Those aren't good numbers. If either of these catchers can get on at a 360-370 rate, they woukd be massive upgrades. Besides, almost any schmo in the mlb can hit 20 Homer's. We signed dejong last year who did it for 3 million.

@ teel can play catcher and left field while quero can play 1st base and back up catcher

Quero threw out 24/116. Teel threw out 23/116. Teel is panned for his throwing arm as the weak part of his game, but he does have a very quick 1.8-1.9s pop time. I don't think that is the qualifying metric they are going to choose to hone in on. Teel does compare favorably in receiving metrics. Quero likely does have the power tool to better stick at 1B, but does the glove work there? We'll see what Walker McKinven can sort through and where the guys improve. Competition is a welcome change. Thanks for watching! - Ian
