Hey, thanks for stopping by! If you like Simon Stålenhag, you might like some of the story-based music I produced throughout the past 10 years. I make post-apocalyptic stuff, folk horror, gothic fiction, cyberpunk - essentially a new concept/story for every release. Find it on this channel and on all streaming services if you feel like checking it out :) x - Ørdop Wolkenscheidt

I have a book of his work . I knew he would work on a TV series some where. If Clan of the cave bear, does become a series some day he should work on that too. I saw his book that inspired Into the Loop series, I I like the dreamy weirdness here and now look about it clear, awake and beautiful, yet bleak but adventurous. Some times existential and dangerous and sometimes free. Its contemporary yet sometime in the future.

Man, Simon here itching the type of Sci-fi art never seen before. There's something mesmerizing about these old 70s/80s cars contrasting with advanced robots, starships and buildings, with the beauty of Swedish nature in the background. I simply love it!

I absolutely love the oblique, mysterious nature of this art, and that no explanations were offered. Is this place Earth? A different Earth? Clearly some very large things had occurred, but what? The machines and vehicles had all failed, but the 80s automobiles still operated. And it appears that people live in houses much like those here.... And it looks like some old tech is functional....electric lights, power lines....and yet there are cyborgs with spears. Thank you.

The lore of this drawn world, if it all takes place in the same universe, must be absolutely rife with lore! I would love to explore this alternative dimension in a book/movie/game/anything! The more I see the more I want to draw my own fantasy world I like to think about. I hope I get good enough to express it as well as you do some day.

Hi! Thank you for your comment. I am just a fan who made some music and put it under these breathtaking pictures, but it will probably make you happy to hear that there is a kickstarter running for a tabletop game called "Tales of the Loop" and that Simon Stålenhag was involved in the design of the board game Scythe. There is also a book. If you want to keep exploring I would recommend you to start there. Also, good luck with expressing your ideas! :)

im imagining some kind of world where stuff from the past and the future starts getting stranded in the present due to some kind of rip in spacetime. Dinosaurs and post apocalyptic cyborgs run amok. Some of the stuff gets reverse-engineered (such as a antigrav tractors), salvaged, or re-purposed (used for housing, advertisement, graffiti art). But most are left sitting there to decay, and areas where these objects fall are often abandoned due to safety concerns (they can collapse buildings, contain dangerous chemicals etc). But most of their danger comes when a dangerous bit of tech gets into the wrong hands (like at 4:35) or when prehistoric animals get hungry.

I love the brutalist style. I wish it would come back into vogue. I think what's going on in architecture now (if indeed there is anything going on in architecture) sucks royally. No vision, no imagination, nothing. Even the so called visionary architects like Gehry are lame...
