Its very peaceful just seeing the Signalis universe without it being a living hell for the characters. I'd love to see more just day by day stuff for the people of this game.

signalis is so meticulous about showing just enough of daily life and the logistics of its world to leave one wanting more but not enough to satisfy the deep curiosity it spawns. even though every bit of information contributes to the story being told, i just want to fucking bask in intimate, excessive knowledge of this industrialized wartorn dystopia. were it in the game, i would literally read the entirety of the penrose manual. the way the game goes out of its way to integrate mechanics and ui as significant parts of the world and player character in a way that is just inspired. the elster bios screens are immaculate. the writing and presentation of this setting tore a hole in me and i love it for that

One of my favorite things about Signalis other than,,well you know the game, is the setting. I love that it very much takes place in our world on some level, the solar system being the same but with different names, Buyan being Venus, Vineta being Earth, Kitezh Mars, Rotfront Europa, Heimat Titan, Leng Pluto...and the nations that the people come from very explicitly being Germany and China.....its really cool tho i do find it funny when people claim it as "theory" because like,,,,its extremely evident

The long awaited sequel. 🥺🥺 This is so good and peaceful. Like nothing else Signalis fan created this makes me think of Elster and Ariane just relaxing together aboard their long Penrose journey. I love that Troublesome Creek was used in the end. It really feels perfect for highlighting the heart of the Eusan Nation. The evil, totalitarian government that was ultimately responsible for Elster and Ariane’s pain more than anything. This is their heart. And it’s as horrifically malevolent as it is grandiose.
@clover30635 ай бұрын
in a few interpretation's its not just elster and ariane's pain that was caused. it was the literally downfall of civilization on the planets we visit in the game, given ariane's bioresonant signal was blasted out over those worlds using falke's and kolibri's like amplifiers. perfectly just encapsulates the way governments like that just fall apart from the inside

That's the thing, it's up to our imagination and I think that's beautiful. We were only a part of their journey, but they had a whole life before we took part of it.

To be honest with all the possible outcomes for araine’s life, the penrose program route was probably the best despite being so tragic. Really shows she never did get much of a chance in life gut atleast she got to live freely and with elster 512. No matter what it was gonna end eventually. Atleast some of the time was enjoyed. Its just tragic it had to end so soon and so painfully.

@@ImNotFine44 The candle that burns twice as bright lasts half as long, I suppose. Edit: for Leng you could have used Ariane's theme because she was born on Leng. And for the imagery, either the insides of S-23 or the winter landscapes because they could fit to such a distant planet. Maybe it is an unpopular opinion, but I would love to have a longer spin-off of Signalis by rose-engine where we experience three different stories that are told by the people inhabitating the Eusan worlds. Like a collection of short stories in an own game with same gameplay mechanics and lot of world building. We experience the every day life of a Gestalt as Replikas were a new invention, maybe one story as a replika soldier in the war and a last one by the pov of the empire. Would add a lot in my opinion and expand its universe to a decent level. At the same time I love the mystery and the intrigue in this world that we know little to nothing and thus it emphasizes onto the small, personal and intimate story Signalis is telling. Also, Vineta's music is the saddest, not only is it the leave ending theme, it is also depressing if you keep in mind that 2/3 of the animals died, probably millions of Gestalten and that it is Elster's homeworld where she fought and probably also died on. Fuck man...

Absolutely incredible!!! You've given this universe such a beautiful interpretation and form, and the video itself is structured wonderfully - this voyage through space being a calm but sad one almost, knowing how long it takes, seeing all these monuments of humanity from the distance - but being too distant to be a part of them. I think thats something that many characters in Signalis feel - theyre too different to fit in, too distant. Like a sailor on some solar sailing ship seeing land for the first time in 12 years of travel.
@AbelsSide11 ай бұрын
Thank you for the kind words, and for taking the time to watch! Yes, i tried to stay as true to the in game posters that show the different visuals of the planets (save for Vineta which we see in flashbacks/pictures), which give that same feeling, being distant - like you know they exist somewhere, but are much too far and idealized to be familiar to the people in the game, or yourself for that matter. And thanks for the bit you said about the space segments - at one point i did feel like they took away from the feeling of the videos from the planets perspective, but I wanted that scale to be present, because the planets are, literally and figuratively speaking, pretty far away as far as the game goes, and each one is in their own kind of "situation", if that makes sense.
@ST0AT5 ай бұрын
I like how open-ended the Eusan system is. Ultimately, you never TRULY know what the world is outside of that singular space gulag. Is the war still hot? Has it gone cold and the two nations are just dick-waving each other over who gets to own Vineta? Is the Nation actually as much of an Orwellian CCTV-centric nightmare as Ariane makes it out to be? Everything you learn about the setting, you do through the lens of propaganda and the memories of a single bullied girl. It's like a _nearly_ blank canvas that begs to be filled with other stories. I did make the right call to set _Eulenlied_ away from Leng.
