Sad that Kakuzu was betrayed by his village and outcast for his failure to kill Hashirama and has been living with that trauma for 90 years, Fuu is like his perfect mirror in a lot of ways she's young and sheltered, though hated for being a Jinchuriki by most she is still eager to make friends. If Kakuzu's mission wasn't to seal her tailed beast Im sure he would have felt some disturbance, maybe a Talk no Jutsu could've worked. But well not on Hidan no.

The only times he workee with Konan was against Konoha until he use almighty pish.. where he and his path fought Naruto without Konan.. Sasori and Deidara was separated when they entered Sunagakure. Sasori patiently wait outside while Deidara goes on to fight Gaara alone on solo mode. He even flee away with Gaara dead body causing Sasori to fight Sakura and Chiyo alone. While Kakashi and Naruto head up to chase him.. Itachi and Kisame by other hand are much cooler with their dynamic team work, but. By the end of it Itachi and Kisame made a agreements that Itachi will fought Sasuke all alone and dies.. which leave to Kisame going on to solo mode.. Deidara and Tobi? They never actually teaming up. Its just Obito playing around with Deidara like a fool

everyone's always underestimating these two. only reason why Shikamaru was able to defeat Hidan is because he survived him the first time and thus he had intel on him. if Hidan and Kakuzu weren't summoned back by Pain after the Asuma fight then they would've killed everyone that arrived as backup + Shikamaru, Kotetsu, and Izumo. fighting against these two blind is basically signing yourself a death warrant.

Sasori and Deidara went for the 1 tail Deidara and Tobi wen for the 3 tails Pain went for the 6 tails Kisame and Itachi went for the 4 tails Konan apparently went for the 5 tails (Hiden Light Novel says so) Hidan and Kakuzu went for the 2 and 7 tails Zetsu was just a living camera recording the fights In reality they all had a job to do but in some fights only one member got the job done. For example against the 4 tails, Kisame wanted to 1v1 him so Itachi just chilled. Or the fight against the 3 tails where Deidara was the only one actually doing something. Or the fight agains the 1 tail where Deidara asked Sasori to let him 1v1 Gaara. But technically spealing, they all served their purpose :D
