I feel pretty bad because though I could be wrong, I didn't pick up on the risk of their previous throat issues that they might actually be suffering from a poorly working fridge or mold in the house, slowly poisoning them. But then I feel even worse because if my hunch is correct I still can't do anything to run a check or anything. Aren't they foreigners living in Japan now, there's a lot fo pretty sus buildings there that might get dumped on an easy target. I mean specifically in cities, I wouldn't lump together every possible kind of arrangement like those Akiya houses.

Feel really bad for them. They hold themselves to really high standards, and having to cancel multiple streams and now probably miss dance practice and other things too... they must really be going through it. Hopefully they take all the time they need to recover.

Oftentimes when restraunts find out about these things a witch hunt starts to find the employee usually they use these incidents to get rid of employees they have had problems with or simply break to many dishes etc never the one whose negligence or moment of distraction caused the issue

There's a mushroom restaurant or something in USA that always keeps getting witch hunted by the public, then it gets ousted, new management is on the location... and it's so remote that the supplier pretty much has a monopoly, so in all likelihood the same thing happens again when false morels end up in their true morel batch. Then they blame poor preparation and the chefs get fired. Only thing that could work is better education and better diligence from the mushroom pickers, on the base nature of the work of mushroom picking, but because of the base nature of labor policy and capitalism it can only be shoddy workers or none. Because raw materials are simply not respected, but made into the cheapest part of the production cycle in EVERY industry.

I went to a ramen place for the first time in my town, and not only was it the most absolutely weird and out of style ramen place I've ever seen, but they served us very old and tasteless food that gave us food poisoning. Was not a fun time, and I most definately called rhe Health Department after I learned that the pineapple my dad was eating pineapple rice from was molding

Food Poisoning is not fun but GWS! Also file a health complaint against that restaurant as it likely got others sick as well and could continue doing so if not properly addressed. I don't know how it works in Japan but a health inspector should check it out immediately. Still your health is important and the Ruffians want you to be healthy too so, again, GWS! :)

Because in Japan, the health center immediately suspends restaurants where food poisoning has been confirmed, most restaurants are clean enough, I think. So this incident is very unlucky. However, we still need to wash our own hands before eating to reduce food poisoning risk, of course.

I think that restaurant needs to take the safe food handling procedures more serious. One of the most important is washing your hands before handling any food ingredients, and washing your hands after handling raw food ingredients. So, the cooked foods won't get cross-contaminated.

When you travel to another country you are exposed to a whole different host of bacteria. Getting sick eating the same food as the locals do is common, even when going to proper restaurants with good hygiene and etc.
