But when an "artist" took a stray dog and chained him in the art gallery, without any water or food, to let him die of starvation...some people were concerned for the poor starving dog, but he was "art", so nobody helped the dog and he died.. Imagine being kidnapped, tied somewhere, hundreds of people see you desperately trying to free yourself and asking for help, but all they do is looking at you.. How cruel can you be to do something like that? It was unnecessary and non sense. The agony and despair that dog went through while dying a slow painful death still haunts me this day

Definitely tar. It's common to see this in the neighboring parking lots and driveways after a street gets a new coating. The stuff they fill cracks also gets gooey on hot days. We'd play with it as kids. It wasn't as fun when wearing heels trying to rush through a parking lot on a hot AZ day. One wrong step and you're hopping around trying to wrestle your shoe from the crack.

Ramps have to be at a certain angle, and that wouldn't have been up to code in terms of safety. The elevator, so long as it's not something you have to request or have someone else inform the staff inside to activate, is a really nice accessibility device. Would it be way better to have an up-to-disability-code ramp installed in there for anyone to use anytime? Absolutely. But, if there is a significant space limitation, the elevator is a nice alternative.

That chimpanzee is not even 10 years old, so it is not true that they have not seen him "after a decade". They see him every 5 or 6 weeks. But they send these things to Jason and he keeps posting them. This is the second time he's posted a "reunion" with that couple. The last time I told him the true story about that zoo, a petting zoo in Miami called zwf, who paid that couple to raise him because they don't have other chimpanzees. And Jason again posted something by them. I have unsubscribed, but I'm doing what I can in the comments to educate people. There is a new documentary out on Max right now called "chimp crazy". I don't have Max, but it's the same director that did Tiger King and it seems that this time they are doing a better job about focusing on the animals and why exotic pets are not a good idea. Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest posted here today two zoom meetings on episodes 2 and 3, where they discuss it, If you're interested.

the turtle was not surprised, it was aggressive, probably annoyed and/or frightened by humans disturbing it. Their beaks are super strong and even tho they don't look like it, even small turtles can chomp off a finger. I don't know the exact species, but I'd expect this particular specimen to easily bite all the way to the bone (on a human finger) and damage the bone quite substantually, but not break it.
