Fourth single and video from the surprise hit "Big Bang" is a nice cover of Yoko's 1981 single.

I loved Fuzzbox, they were different for the time, their colorful military inspired rock outfits were superb. Good job ladies 😉

Never knew Fuzzbox covered this Yoko Ono classic! You live and learn.

I'd forgot how much I liked this group. They should have stayed together, but they straddled yet another mass change of tastes and styles, and found themselves on a lee shore, as it were.

They could've been as famous as Duran Duran

Thoughts: 1. Vix is so stunning. Great video! 2. I really like the dreamy production style. 3. I think I am going to listen to "Big Bang" again...

John Lennon's wife Yoko Ono sang this song originally in 1980

This had quite a Gothic sound to it, and was acted out with a sense of feeling and drama. The problem was that it was quite a departure for Fuzzbox after what had gone immediately before. A very underrated song. Not better than the original, but just as good.

Lucky I found this again thank you! I had it as an original and the spoken bridge was in English. Two other versions exist with the bridge in Japanese and German-and they are both posted here too!
@leopold75625 жыл бұрын
Wait, what? They did a version with the Japanese bits in English? Holy crap, it's been thirty years and this is the first I've heard of it.

Theres a version with the Japanese bits in German too

Not a song I remember from when it was released. I bought the first album, and saw them o the tour promoting it, but wasn't so keen on the singles from the second one at the time.

This was a very risky track to release as a single.

Three big hit singles and then this? I don't remember this one. In hindsight, a wrong choice to release as a single. Fast Forward Futurama and Versatile for Disco's and Parties, for it's heavy Fairlight CMI use would have been better as single releases. Stunning woman is Vicky.

They would have continued to have hits if this wasn't their forth single. Good version of this song but not really single worthy. Fast Forward Futurarama would have been a better choice.

Angel Diablo Know what you mean as it's a big departure from the others, however I think the song & video is beautiful, so I'm glad they released it. Just need it in HD like the others!

I agree, the record company made a mistake releasing this as the fourth single. I was not happy. Fast Forward Futurama or Irish Bride would've continued the Top 40 success. I like this but it's not a single.
@leopold75625 жыл бұрын
@@sebastianmontagu3073 Very true, but I suspect the band didn't want to be cast as some bubblegum pop outfit and used this to demonstrate that they were capable of other styles. Maybe a move better made after they'd cemented their position as a credible contemporary group, but there you go.

Yoko and John Lenn wrote this song in 1980 and there version is better than Fuzz Box version Sorry!
@leopold75625 жыл бұрын
I shan't argue with you. But I do like this version a lot.

Well I agree john Lennon,s guitar is wonderful but it's the only thing Yoko has done that was good and it had to have been written by Lennon cause she's a twat.

@Alan Cogan They had just completed the recording on the day Lennon was murdered. He had the master tape in his hand when he was shot.
