I cried when I heard this since I was little. Our family use to have dancing competitions in the living room to this track (break dancing with white socks lol). I was 8 then. Our family hardly ever see each other now. We are still in the same city. These songs were the SHIIIIT!!! I miss back then.

i feel lucky to have grown up in the 80's, late nights with friends, stolen liquor from dads booze cabinet and parents who had gone away for the weekend, great times. Great music. I feel sad for my children, although i suppose they dont really know anything else other than manufactured bands.

I met Alides Hidding back in October 2005, when had to play a festival with my band where they were booked too. I asked him to sign my CD of them, the greatest hits. He looked very surprised and quite delighted that a boy of 24 liked their music hehe. The broke up after '87, just after a period that Alides Hidding wrote some songs with Dan Hartman in the States. Recently he reformed the band. Lots a hits in Holland, Portugal, France and Aussie.

I actually saw Time Bandits in Sydney back in those days during their Australian tour; though, in a little wine bar sort of venue, from memory. I had their album with this song. I quite liked the album. Pleasant and catchy. Gosh, straining the memory cells of my brain! Does anyone else recall that venue? Have to admit, though, I was a big Focus fan in those days. So anything Dutch was good! I had forgotten all about Time Bandits. Thanks for uploading!

Hi, Glenn. I don't think it was The Basement, but can't be sure. I think it was smaller. I remember being very close to the band as they performed. Can't believe this was as late as 1985. I had already stopped singing then, the year before.
