One of the tanks I wanted so badly when I started playing. The DPM is so good. It is one of the old school heavies that has gotten forgotten with all new shiny tanks in the British line. Thanks for highlighting one of old school heavies. Not your speshul derp type tank but one I think you really enjoy playing.

I like how you showed a lil snip it of all the crew skills you run. The FV215B is one of my favorite heavy tanks and it was my very first heavy, people talk a lot of trash on it because they don’t know how to with a rear torrented tank. Its puts on an absolute clinic.

Yes, this tank has good aspects. But, it has a glaring deficit in regards to its fire hazard. So much so that it forces you to use fire fighting crew skill and the T-30 still lit you up for half your health. IMO, this tank should be on the list to avoid, right next to the Bar.

The fires are annoying, the skill the firefighting skill puts it out quicker, doesn't do much to reduce chance of it

Back then The FV215B was mediocre but with the buffs man it’s such a damn great tank. The only negative is the ammo count otherwise it’s underrated.

GG man, I just dont get on with this tank and its one of the only tier 10s ive got then sold. I think it probably has a higher skill cap than the other two, or i didnt set it up right or something. Almost tempted to buy it back... but nah, i'll keep it simpler with the chieftan and super conq!

Now the only thing this tank needs is more ammo. Because of its fire chance, it would still be very balanced even if it had 40+ shells. The problem with low ammo is that this tank CANNOT carry long matches. If you were to pen EVERY shot, you could only ever do 14K with standard ammo. (The chieftain mk 6 can do 25,600, and the Conq can do 16,000) I know I non-pen 20-40% of the time, which means I am basically capped at 6-8k damage, which is really sad, as this tank would be AMAZINGLY FUN to carry with. It would still be balanced, because the thing is a dang gunpowder candle, but it would be fun anyway. Right now, the ammo is the ONLY problem this tank has. As it is, if I wanted to tryhard, I would have to load full gold. I would even be fine with a piece of equipment that gives extra shells, and I would happily sacrifice a piece of equipment for that. As it is, both of the other tanks are vastly superior, simply because they CAN carry a game. The 2k extra damage may not seem like a lot for the Conq, but it is VERY significant in practice. I run out of ammo maybe 5-10% of long matches with the conq. I run out of ammo 60-80% of the time in long matches with the 215B. To put this into perspective, this tank can fire continously for only 3 minutes and 30 seconds. That is just over 1/5th of a full match. Edit: You are a better shot than me by a good margin. As such, you ended game 2 with 6 prem and 2 hesh left. I would have 0-2 shots left at that point.

@@Petty360 I would be fine with more ammo and either a reduction in fire damage OR the shoulder armor buffed a good bit. If that is too much, knock 10m off view range to make up for it. I don't want it to be OP, I just don't want it to constantly be WAY below the 705a. As it is, it is incapable of carrying the game of a lifetime. If you want to 1 v 7 in this tank against 7 heavies, good luck. It literally does not have enough ammo. 2k health per heavy means 14k health, which is literally its ENTIRE ammo reserve. You would have to pen EVERY shot and not low roll a single time. The fact that this tank is literally capped in how well it can do is a disgrace, especially compared to the 705a. The fact that I could be playing at a super high level and it just not mattering is awful.

I got so frustrated with engine fires I ran CO2 and Fire Ext. The lower plate is cheese, even for 76mm guns and nearly always gets set on fire from a frontal pen to the plate.

@@Petty360 I find their approach to armour weird. So you can reliably pen this with the 76mm guns you get at tier 6/7 yet you have tier 8 tanks with lower plates you can't pen with even premium rounds? I know British tanks aren't really renown for hull armour but there's little consistency. The IS7 has a troll lower plate that can bounce premium rounds with minimal angling, this thing you can pen from any angle. I snapshotted a Deathstar with a Tusk round yesterday whilst he was moving at full clip and angled and it penned the lower plate lolz
