I noticed that there's no change in the the engine noise during cruising and combat. Do you keep your throttle at a constant setting, when not idle, and use only radiator?

In pure BnZ-fighters like the Fw 190 I try to keep always the maximum speed possible to keep the initiative. That’s why I’m constantly in WEP in this video. I prefer to make 10 passes on an enemy than trying to stay behind a plane at low speed. Of course there are also situations in which I would reduce throttle to stay behind of an enemy but then I have to be 100% sure that there is no other enemy plane nearby and that I’ll get the kill. The radiator controls can help to avoid passing the max speed of the plane while diving (not so important for the Fw 190 but for the Bf 109 it’s crucial). Apart from that, there is no reason to keep the cooling flaps closed when I’m already more than fast enough.
