FWC CII.13: Earth's Temperature Without Atmosphere

This video on the fundamentals of weather and climate calculates the Earth's temperature if there was not atmosphere around our planet. This temperature is called radiative equilibrium temperature and it would be -18 degC. However, our Earth's annual global average temperature is 15 degC. Therefore, our atmosphere through greenhouse effect increases the global average temperature by 33 degC.
