Hey fwip, remember the iron golem farm, it be a fun idea to turn it into a religious temple for the town next to it which I think was papirus. It could add a lot to the lore of your world ya know, just I cool idea.

Personally I think a lake somewhere in the mountains could be really cool. I was thinking about water runoff forming a lake surrounded by custom spruce trees and maybe a hermits hut could be awesome. Btw I loved the video!

It can become into ice if it's too high you can add slabs or other stuff to make the water not become ice

as a terraformer, I believe this video is probably one of the best tutorials on mountains I've seen cause you actually go through not only the process but the though process of the builder as well

Great video it will help me alot when I start my mountains. The scale concept you spoke about is very effective in giving the illusion of objects being bigger than they are. A real world application of that would be Cinderella's castle at Disney world in Orlando, Florida they do that exact thing to make it look bigger than they were allowed to build.

I really love that tree tip you had! plus there's an actual term for it known as "forced perspective". The Disney theme parks have many real-world examples of this phenomenon both vertically and horizontally! You can make a limited area seem absolutely massive if you introduce the viewer to larger scale surroundings, and then decreasing the size as you get into the distance! It's really rad!

That was a great video. I'm curious about maybe adding things like mountain lakes and waterfalls or even geothermal activity and active volcanoes. Perhaps even tips on there types of mountains, the tall thin rock formations we sometimes associate with monasteries for example.

Thanks for this one! I've only done a few mountains and definitely need more practice. Mine always seem way too janky and look really unnatural in the landscape. Thanks for the blending tips. Now I just need to master merging the different landscapes with foothills and such. Could you perhaps do a video on getting natural curvature on smaller hills and grasslands?!

Just returned to say "thank you" for the demonstration of your mountain building technique, particularly the idea of laying out the wire frame type of layout. I'm new to the game, bought it for the girlfriend's daughter, and when I'm asked to play I've found that I tend to gravitate towards the building side of the game. My past attempts at building elevated terrain have involved working horizontal rows on the way up or building a massive block and chipping it down like a sculpture. For some reason this way never crossed my mind. I tried it earlier today to fill in a multi-level, stacked Mesa looking mountain from the map. After my original few columns I began halving the distance between them with another run of columns, attempting to roughly split the difference of contours between the neighboring 2 columns. Inevitably once I got down to a 1 to 5 block gap between columns all around I began to work my way down in elevation 1 block worth at a time connecting rows. It all worked out very well and seemed much quicker than every other way I've tried. Thanks so much for the idea. Now I may have to tackle a real mountain range!

It's a medieval fantasy world, there's a small dwarven settlement up there that uses the plane 😁 was an old Christmas build haha

Tip for survival builders who don’t have the time to make all the smooth stone used in these types of mountains. Make forested mountains or old mountains, whatever you want to call them. If you don’t know what I’m talking about look up the Appalachian Mountains
