I've always thought that the mosquito only sticks around because we were really bad at getting rid of them. They really do not serve any useful purpose except as food and nuisance. However, imagine if we could administer medicine through the natural progression of the mosquito. Imagine that, since they are here anyway, we could use these little bugs to really make a difference.

All I know is that we need more vaccines of all sorts to be used for everyone. Too many curses in this realm. Must protect your health.

Sadly, we're probably a long way off from getting vaccines for all cancers, given that so many different things can become cancer, or Alzheimer's. But, then again, "long" isn't as stretched out of a period as it used to be. With our technologies advancing at such a fast pace, compared to the previous ages, our technological lifetimes are almost becoming like real lives (appearing to move faster as they "age").

I'l be honest, the thumbnail made me think they were going to start spreading vaccines via mosquito. I came rushing over here thinking: Whaaaa?!

it would be cool if we had vaccines for all diseases :P

It would also be cool if we could figure out a way to kill every disease on the planet. But that's probably not gonna happen.

I was thinking: wouldn't it be cool if we somehow genetically modified mosquitos to contain vaccines so whenever we were bit we got the vaccine? We are probably way far off from it but still, it would be cool.

*+Cole the Master* It really would. But then the goverment would make mind con..... I'm just kidding. Vaccine mosquito would be pretty awesome if successful.

Except for the problem of the peope who are 'allergic' to the vaccines and could/would die from that kind of distribution

Nice explanations but future generations might deal with fewer diseases we know now, but the will have to deal with new ones no one can predict. Still, they can focus on them than instead of spending time with those, we can reduce by now.

malaria already has several vaccines. the constant mutation makes new vaccines needed. luckily Walter Reed Army Institute of Research makes a new vaccine for the US Army every few years.
