This is pretty nice and some of these trucks are insane but Paris-Dakar is the most intense offroad competition on the planet.

I've belonged to Four Wheelin' groups since I was six years old... I'm 38 now. I understand the thrill of overcoming a good hill, climbing a rock face you couldn't get up without Bead Lockers. I've done my share of laughing and making fun of the new-bies that always seem to high-center themselves. And no, I don't ride 31's. My point was simply this: If you're going to enter a heavily modified rig, don't simply call it an "87 Bronco", or a "2006 Ram", because they simply aren't as represented.

I may be slanted here, since i own two 5.9s and an N14 but I think the cummins considered a superior engine, even by the competition, but its a very heavy mill, meant to sink. The TJ with hemi really owned this competition. I want to see the pulling power segment now

After making it over the first log, your frame is set at such an angle that any possibility of changing that angle is negated. You basically get stuck having to go fairly straight, especially for those with a shorter wheel base designed for not getting high centered while rock climbing.

All directional tractor tires have an arrow pointing one way for traction which moves soil out away from the tire causing it to dig. Then another arrow pointing the other way for flotation causing it to gather soil toward the center of the tire causing it to stay on top and not dig in wet fields. Every farmer knows this, every mudder should know this, and people who run low tire pressures in light rigs to stay on top of snow definately know this. They are not the dumb ones ChuckyDog.

why should there be a penalty? with lockers that they have in them they have a very wide turn radius. so they have to use rear steer to help with the turn radius.

Agreed. This is why they started using "Classes" in which to place their vehicles. Nowadays people just want to do and say whatever they please, withour regard to structure or disciplne. This is what happens when high school graduates who can't spell "Valentine's Day". start running the world.

the jeep in the end needs a different driver who has been out trail riding and mudding. Im form michigan and this stuff looks like a walk in the park. No huge hill, no sugar sand, and no mud pits that will actually swallow your truck whole. My buddy owns a jeep thats called a rubiclone. Its made from a 2005 jeep wrangler. Its completely built for mudding and rock climbing.Yes it does has wench but only needed to use it twice.....

As they were MEANT to be. If you take a Chevy Blazer and trim the tail, give it a body and suspension lift, roll cage, monster engine, Dana Lockers front and back, Mammoth wheels and tires, monster fenders to accomodate the wheels, heavy duty rock climbing bumpers, is it still "Just a Blazer"? No, it's not.... any more than a child is an adult. "Classes" were invented FOR A REASON, to support a PURPOSE. Thanks for playing, though...lol
