Hi Texas, I always enjoy your honest videos. I thing your gun needs a little tuning. I hear the gun barking a bit. You said that you have the spring tenssion all the way in. Try to raise the regulator pressure a bit and lower the spring tenssion until it stops barking. you will have way much better results. Continue the good work.

I purchased my FX .30 caliber Crown Synthetic in June. All my target shooting is at 50 yards. I'm doing 1/2" on a regular basis. I'm north of Weatherford on a hill with wind a constant factor which was a deciding factor on getting the .30 caliber. I thought this was going to be my turkey gun but I read the rules for turkey hunting in Texas and says it has to 215 fpe and I think the pellet has to be 150 grain (it's 5 AM in the morning and I'm no going to check until after my coffee). I own a FX crown I have the 25 cal barrel and I have the 30 cal barrel will someone please help me figure out what the best turn is for the 30 Cal because I’m having trouble I know I’m holding the gun perfectly steal every shot I can get under a half inch group at 50 yards on the first three or four shots and then after that they start opening up to around a inch and a quarter right Now the only ammo I have is the 50.15 grain JSB exact

@@westonthornton9018 set the reg to 145bar and turn up the hammer spring. Should shoot roughly 860fps with the 44.75grs and then turn down the dial when u shoot the 25 barrel. Ull need a chrony though. That crown came to me set at 125bar and shooting at 805 fps with the 44.75grs. But its an airgun depot demo rifle i couldnt keep and i already sent it back. Just bought the impact x 30cal though and getting a 25cal barrel kit with it. This one will be mine and on the channel for good... More videos to come.

Hi Weston! I also have a difficult time holding 1/2" groups after a few shots. I am experiencing more consistency as I shoot more. I also shoot the 50.15 (I think that's correct). I've got a new Hawke scope (4-12) with different reticle. I really have a tough time holding the center diamond of target with the Leaper 4-16 50. The FX rep I spoke with at the Texas Airgun Show this past summer said 1/2" with a full clip will be the norm after a few hundred shots. I'm hoping that's true.....soon! I'll let you know!

The left and right is trigger pull error. Up in down is your breathing. Some might be wind but those rifles can shoot very well. Top of the line!

If u expect hole in hole past 50yards with an air rifle then u are asking too much. Even at 50yards it's not easy to shoot 1/2" groups under real world conditions. Lower your expectations of perfect and ull love the rifle. U have to tune and pellet pick and wait for perfect wind to shoot Ted beir shot groups. That's why he's a pro at it and I'm a novice.

That was just the rifle that airgun depot sent to reviewers. I have no clue if it was messed with or not. I didn't have it but a couple weeks before I had to mail it off

I had that gun for only 2 weeks to play with it and shoot it. It wasn't mine to tweak on or tune. Of course they shoot better then what I shot with it but I guarantee u that a 30cal will out shoot the 22 or 25cal at longer ranges unless u shoot slugs. Then they are all pretty even...

yep, way better. I shoot the .25 at 100M with much tighter groups, so .30 can do better than me. Watch the videos of Ted Beer and his tuning and benchrest videos. ;-)

Wind can push a pellet in any direction. Depends on direction and also if the pellet has flaws...

@@richardjones2811 there is a such a thing as down drafts and up drafts. Prob dont effect pellets at all but pellets are subject to wind more then slugs.
