Just bought one today, can’t wait to use it. My primary use will be airguns. What drag model would you recommend for diabolo pellet. Thanks in advance kindest regards

Hi Steven , to give you a precise time is difficult as it depends on in what conditions you use it. The battery last so long nobody keep real track of how long it is 😅. But on a full charge it can last you easily a full day at the range .

How do you input the atmospheric data for the BC calculation, since without it the calculated BC will only be usable under the same conditions? Also, when will pellet reference drag laws be available for airgun users, as none of the current choices are suitable for pellets? There are a lot more questions as well, such as how does the radar interpolate to the required distance to give velocities at specific ranges, but they can wait for more information.

Hi , just baught one. About the setting drag model . Where can i find this information on my ammo ? What about shotshells ?

The drag model depends on the projectile you shoot . For instance G1 is your traditional shaped bullet and a G7 is more for the bow tail projectile . GA is for traditional pellets and the RA4 is more for your slugs above 900fps

The TBC isn’t made for shotgun shells , maybe when you shoot slugs yes

@@FXAirguns Verry strange . Your dealer in the Netherlands was 100% sure that we can measure the speed of pellets from shotshells with the TBC.

@@boarhunter109 So when we talk about airguns diablo pellets shot from shells like you have in some CO2 airguns, yes . If you are referring to shotgun ammo the TBC isn’t designed to track the buckshot as there are to many projectiles. It might pick up on the wad behind the buckshot and giving you this as a reading. The TBC is designed to track one projectile very accurately over the entire distance it travels.

Hey, good review man, I’m curious though I bought the Garmin chronograph, I’m incredibly pleased with it. That thing can literally measure 5500 ft./s! Accurately! And it measures to 10th of a foot per second, the only bonus with this chronograph, is that it supposed to be able to tell the velocity of the projectile down range, all of these radar chronographs need to be within 5 to 15 inches of the barrel, how exactly is it that a technology that cannot go farther than 15 inches from the barrel is supposed to take a measurement, 100 yards away or more? It’s not even possible so I don’t know how that’s advertised, you can buy two chronographs for less than half the price of this one, and get actual ballistic information accurately. When I tested the Garmin against the pro Chrono and FX pocket crony, the FX malfunctioned, and had erratic measurements more than either of the other two because the other two never had any erratic measurements. They were consistent the entire test, there’s a video on it on my channel, you can see I was getting readings of 6 to 700 ft./s when they were 1000 on both of the other two chronographs, and anything over 1100 ft./s. It doesn’t even register. So I have a very hard time believing that this is going to have accurate measurements at the gun and down range since Doppler radar doesn’t have that capacity? Any thoughts?

Does it actually track? I know the claims are out to 300 yards yet ive seen multiple videos of people shooting at a target yet it’s giving feedback for velocity passed the target. How is it tracking a pellet velocity at 100 yards when it stops at 50?

Hi , it does track the bullet the entire distance but if it hits a target shorter then the distances you have entered in the menu it make a very accurate calculation for the remaining distances past the target based on the information it calculates for the trajectory it could track it and therefore be very accurate.
