I've just purchased one. Mine is throwing out random shots without any shots being fired... Usually around 850 FPS, when it should be about 570 FPS. It's correct when I do fire a shot, but then adds it's own figures into the mix, which throws off any data I'm trying to collect. The App states the option to adjust the velocity range, which may solve that issue, but that option is not there on Apple or Android! Has this been removed???

You need to make sure the app is up to date for it to show up in the app

my pocket chrono isn't reading a significant amount of my shots, im shooting .30 slugs from my panthara between 200 en 300 meters per second. would a update fix that?

Depending on what version you are right now ? We always advise to get the latest version installed. Can I ask where you have mounted the chronograph and how ? Also at what velocity do you shoot the .30 , it should be the easiest projectile to read for the chronograph.

I'm considering buying the v2, but I run a scope that needs some ballistic data (fps from barrel also fps to my zero range) so the question is can I put the v2 at say 25 yard down range and have my phone with me, will my phone pick up the fps at that distance?

Bluetooth usually has a max working distance 🤔 but I think for what you want to do you are better off with a True Ballistic Chronograph

I have my V2 since today. Thing is acting crazy, registering +350m/s without me shooting. Apparently it registers the effective shots well (+- 278 m/s with the FX 18 grain pellets). App is the Android version.

I am using a V2 with my Impact M4 (.22, 12 fp), and I am seeing speeds recorded of >1100 fps when I'm in the process of reloading!

Have you solved this issue? Also, do you see the option to adjust the velocity range instead of a fixed 200-1200 FPS. We should be able to adjust this to say 450-600 FPS on a .22. That would solve a lot of false readings. According to the manual, this is a thing, but it's not showing for me.

On my new V2 the option to change from rifle to bow and change the velocity is not on the app,will this change with the update and also I'm on android,any idea how long till the android update will be released ?

@@m1cxf If you think about it, that would be why Android devices are shite. The developer is faced with all kinds of small and large differences among hardware and software on Android, so the whole App management and validation challenge is much greater.

Why is there no mention of what is changed with this firmware update?? Also, very surprised how primitive this process is in some regards. The firmware update should be smart enough to only work with the v2 chronograph itself and not on the remote display or the v1 chronograph. Also needing to keep the button pressed during the *entire update procedure* is NUTS. What happens if you accidentally let up on that button? Many firmware update procedures will brick the target device if the update is interrupted. Usually this means a gross user error such as unplugging a mains-powered device during the update or starting a long update with insufficient battery charge. Frankly I'm skeptical that you have to keep the button pressed. IN FACT if you read the instruction shown at @2:14, the text indicates that you have to keep the button pressed for 10 seconds until the device enters 'bootloader' mode. The instructions then describe selecting the device and executing the firmware update. THESE INSTRUCTIONS say nothing about needing to keep the button pressed for the ENTIRE UPDATE procedure. So either the video instructions are wrong, or the written instructions in the App are wrong! Still it's a cool device and I just might spring for one!
