FAQ - CamTrackAR for Android? Please note that the reason CamTrackAR can only be used on iOS devices currently is down to the AR camera data we are able to pull from Apple’s hardware technology. We started with ARKit, which is amazingly good, and we are actively talking to Google about the best way forward for Android - so stay tuned!

@FXhome but is this tracking able to do without camTrackAR? do you have tutorials? Basically i would have to have a green screen background moving with the camera. I i see, CamTrackAR does the camera tracking automatically, but i can do it manually in Hitfilm Pro right?

It would be cool If you developed a lidar tracker that can be put in any camera and record the Tracking Data and the lens Data of the can so I can use it with any camera.

Hey @FXHome, is there any qualitative difference in the tracks from an iPhone 12 Pro, vs the regular iPhone 12? Asking because on Apple's site in the model comparison it says "LiDAR Scanner for Night mode portraits, faster autofocus in low light, and next-level AR experiences" for the 12 Pro.

4:00 Here’s a cool trick I discovered by accident: If you drag the Chroma Key effect directly onto the footage, it will automatically select the color of the pixel you’re on when you let it go.

Frame rate and resolution are limited by what Apple's ARKit can provide. - Javert
