If you have software that’s not an issue to calibrate turbo. You calibrate turbo without insite.

Great Video! Do you know which cable type is used on these actuators? All Holset actuators uses the same cable? Insite works smootly with Nexiq?

I go5 a new actuator put on my 2009 Ram and I can hear it move when turning key on but brake does not work. Also have a code for o2 sensor module but that is also new. Dealer reflashed it but can’t figure it out. Btw DPF is not working judging by tail pipe. Does sensor3 module code effect DPF operation?

You can buy the Insite software from cummins . And at my work we use a Nexiq box to plug into the truck . But you need to make sure you buy a real one . There are fake boxes out there .

Would it cause the engine to not want to start? I know the new ISX if the turbo goes out it won't start! I'm having an issue on the px8 Cummins not starting! Didn't know if that valve would be the cause acting like a fail safe

You will need a nexiq adapter which is around $600 + a laptop. Oem program is very expensive its over $1000 a year to have it. Or youtube cummins insite

My engine brake is weak and low sound could this be my problem?

Install the boost gauge in your truck unless you already have one , under engine brake at 1500rpm boost must hit over 20psi if not 9 out of 10 times it's VGT veins inside the turbo that melt from hi exhaust temps.

Mario Soto unfortunately yes, it's a very common problem. Only way to avoid it is to have EGT gauge and Boost gauge in the dash. I drive by my gauges once boost hits over 20psi I keep the throttle steady until road speed starts to fall off , at that time I select lower gear and do the same thing over and over till I climb the hill. Keep an eye on EGT , I suggest to keep it under 800f° .

I will always suggest against going to the dealer, I'm in Vegas I will be more than happy to help you out . If you need gauges installed I can order it and install it for you. Is your truck cm871 or cm870 , easy way to tell is by looking at the turbo ,if you have a big electronic looking box on top of it it's a cm871.

Those screws need to be torqued, you need the gauge to check your turbo vanes, you need to replace sealing washers on banjos, need to inspect pins at engine harness, if you don't drain and fill cooking with a air lift pump, you'll get air pockets, curva where do these amateurs get the insite software

Great job, don't let these know it all pros get tge best of you. We send trucks to dealers sometimes when we are backed up. one came back with the transmission brace missing. Studs nuts and all!! Sent another with the Ubolts on rear end not torqued yes by no other then our kw dealer. Yeah that pumpkin jumped forward and broke a couple of things. Got it repaired for free on dealers dime!
